Hey, as long as it's the fun kind that has you hallucinate and see little German polka bands or grant you an incredible increase in the intellect department (then he might be as smart as a normal human).

Sho'nuff.

If Gus/Osprey and Monkey/Seer would post, that'd be super-dandy, though...

Many, many apologies for being out. I took some time away from work, but that unfortunately meant that I was away from access also. In my haste to exit my cube, I forgot to post notice. Sorry for any consternation.

Sorry guys I have been real busy. I'm also going to have to bow out for the time being, while I am short on real life 'play' time at the moment so am using it to keep my characters a float in games that I already started. Sorry for any delays, I'll get back to you when I can.

No prob, Monkey.

Now...

Did I really name an NPC Dr. Phil McGraw? Heyzeus. Musta come straight out of my subconscious.

Other (and these ones were completly accidental...) name correspondances (thanks to Google):

A porn star called Alicia Stone.
No Bryan Lieters, mercifully, though a fair number of Brians.
A character called Tracy Cavanaugh ni a book alled After Dark by Phillip Margolin.
Tragically, no Brace Scribners I could see.
A child called Ryan Sanders
Lots of Rob Holt's and Robert Thomas's (not to mentiont he coffee company...)

I remember once being so proud of an NPC I made up for a D&D game. Came up with the name on the fly: Antonio Sabato. Imagine my later chagrin...

At the very least you didn't accidentally name the corrupt advisor of a leader "Wormtongue." Ugh. My players will never let me live that one down.

I never understood how someone as generally competent as Theoden could have fallen for a guy named 'Wormtongue'. I mean, JEEZ...don't get on the "Murder Ride", people, don't eat the "Doom Burger", don't buy the "Cruel Shoes", don't trust a guy whose name suggests a mouthful of maggots.

Lookee here, sonabitchprickbastard, the osprey is a quick and agile bird of PREY . Vermin everywhere pheer their leet skillz; the osprey is one of the only birds that has learned how to HOVER in a breeze. Believe it or not, this isn't the first character you've ever heard of named after a small raptor...in England, it's called the merlin. So just you...uh...yeah...
I was looking for something that would be suggestive of a bird of prey, kind of a take on the whole "Bat-Man" thing, and didn't want to fall back on the old campy Hawk/Falcon/Eagle trilogy.
Funny post, btw...crapping from on high would be a hell of a way to get the bad guy's attention.

PC: "Beware, evildoers, you face... the Merlin"
Crim: "Arrgh! One of those wizard-heros!"
PC: "No, no... I can't cast any spells. But, umm, I can... flap flap flap"
Crim: "..."

For what its worth, Gus, I think Osprey is a cool name. Always been my favourite bird of prey, favourite knighthood, and favourite variable-rotor airborne troop transport vehicle.

Rob Holt and 'lady friend' at their secret, um, love nest...

So is that his fortress of solitude? Located in the lonely space above the Michigan highway?

No one would ever think about looking for it there

Jeez! You guys are bonkin' me like a TV Puppet Pal.
It's all in good humor, though...I hope...the 'fortress of solitude' crack almost got me in trouble from laughing.

I'm of the opinion to tell this reporter that the 'hostage' was one of our informants. That oughta drive the opposition nuts trying to figure out who else they can't trust. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a viable plan.... Reminds me of my favorite rule as a GM... "Always Mess With Their Heads"

Not a bad lie, but I imagine it'll be foiled pretty quickly by that tenacious reporter.

"So, how'd you meet that mangled corpse that you call an informant?"

"Well, uh, you see, we started by kicking him in the head. After that we became fast friends."
