Would he have that blue hair as well?

Edit: Did I miss the part where we picked up another player?

Eric Bana for the scientifically oriented Mechanic...
His role in Troy coming up, plus BHD for the combat stuff, and his scientist role in the Hulk make him pretty much ideal.

All right. I figure the more heroes we have to hurl into the fray, the more likely Wreck will survive (what with him using people as human shields and all).

Character

Hi again

Well its taken me days to go through all the ideas I've had from ancient greek heroes come to the future to cosmic empowered heroes through to aliens. I hate it when I have so many ideas, it gets hard to pick something!

But at long last I have the basic bare bones of the character: Syphon. Background and personal details to follow shortly.

Sorry for disappearing for a bit. I haven't been receiving e-mails about the thread. As for who'd play The Seer, I could see someone like maybe a young Harrison Ford possibly. Aaron Eckhardt, maybe (that's probably b/c of Possession). Some thoughts at least.

Best,
tKL

Uh huh. Let me tell you, I would not be OKing ancient greek heroes and probably not aliens. This is supposed to be realistic, brutal, and gritty. I hope you bear that in mind when you create your character.

True.. But you've got to admit the Anacronistic character is always interesting... plus the sheer violence that he'd be likely to bring. The Greek hero's had no qualms about killing... they had that much in common with the campaign.

So interesting, that all but one character in Freedom Inc is out-of-time. Obviously

Out of time

The greek hero was a favourite of mine, hope i spell this right: Bellerophon.

He was the son of a god, as lets face it greek gods shagged around quite a bit with mortals, he was given trials by a goddess; such as slay the chimera then he was pit against the best men a kingdom could give and he slaughtered them all!! So yeah he would have been grim and gritty enough! A complete hard bastardo with a sword, shield, spear and a winged horse! I forgot to mention that he tamed Pegasus too. Dont you just love greek myths theyre so full on.

gritty campaign question

Just a quick question for you:

With the campaign being dark and gritty is the basic background write up I put on Syphon too far fetched for the game world and should I alter it or am I okay to go and write it up?

I'd be interested to see what he's up to. Wreck, of course, doesn't give a crap unless it's immediately useful. Like x-ray goggles.

Glad you asked. I'm not sure what the small background you've given is about; am I supposed to infer that the Farsiders are aliens who were living on Earth? If you really want aliens, go ahead, but bear in mid that they haven't been included in the background ths far. Make them more X-files that comic book. The super-SWAT team is an OK concept.

“ immediately useful. Like x-ray goggles. ”
Too late, Cad. The blonde's got her lead-lined knickers on.

Chronal, if you want to, go for it.

Additionally, could you describe what your characters wear, in general and this day in particular. A couple of you wear armour, I see. Bear in mind that most supers don't wear costumes or spandex; as in Godlike, it jsut tells the snipers ho to shoot first

Osprey's costume is pretty simple and put together from mostly off-the-shelf components. Black BDU-style clothing (but with a tighter fit, for less noise), reinforced with armor at certain key points and with an armored vest. Black balaclava and tall boots specifically selected not to interfere with stealth. He keeps a hefty escrim stick in a backpack sheath.

Wreck tends to dress simply, preferring dark green cargo pants and a gray t-shirt. When attempting to go incognito, he wears a hat and either shades or old WWII-style goggles, depending on whether or not he thinks he's going to be flying anywhere. He usually wears hiking boots and wears a silver watch and ring on his right wrist and pointer finger respectively.

The Mechanic (Robert) usually dresses the way I originally described him in the thread. When doing the hero bit though, his look is REALLY different.
He wears a set of goggles with some varying tools built in (Gadget type stuff), A black trenchcoat (partially armored, also with lots of hidden pockets),
a armored bodysuit under a vest, also designed to carry many tools. A heavy belt which carries both the gravity generator, his pistols, and the force field generator. Designed in blacks, greys, and blues to better blend into shadows and urban environments... Though he does have another set for wilderness settings.

Ooh, a bavarian feathered cap? That would look dandy.

“ pointer finger ”
Off topic, is that what you actually call the first finger on your hand in everyday conversation in the US?

Ryan casual wear comprises of t-shirts, jeans etc. it changes as the seasons (more/ heavier clothes for winter.) He tends to wear what ever low end, off the rack stuff that he can afford.

He does have a specific "uniform" which comprises of a durable running shoe, grey tight fitting shirt, darker pants, a trench coat and a bandana tied around his head.

Brace dresses casually, but like a professor. Oxford shirts, khakis, nice shoes, leather jacket. It's nothing that's ever going to wow other people, but it's likely nothing that will ever go out of style, either. Of course, if it did, Brace would never notice.

Best,
tKL
