Other than that - throwing that shady assassin in with E'la sounds good indeed. Although I don't really remember what Gral's character is like. But surely it must be some sort of shady assassin. *nods* Btw, zachol hasn't been online in almost three weeks. He's not in any games that I know of currently, so best throw him a PM - or an email if you have his. Who knows when he'll come online. ... or update one of his threads just in case he gets a note via mail if that happens. |

I think we'll just edit in post like we did last time Tash if that's cool with you - or respond and then I'll edit inside that post. =)

Sorry, I entirely missed your post.
![]() I just checked now because I thought I might've missed something - and I was right. Will update in the late evening - or tomorrow. Edit: And now I read your update - aaah! What to do? ![]() |

Update up! But no action yet...
... I'm guessing there isn't anything out of the ordinary that E'la can see, right (at least not something 'new' - most of what he's seeing is pretty strange for him after all)? Did the orc exit through a door or is he still in sight? |

He's not in sight anymore. It took you awhile to find the mark (you ended up reading through most of the paper) and by that time he was long gone.
In other news first week of school survived! I'll have free time this weekend to post. |

If E'la heads to the receptionist he'll notice that there are a couple (2-3) Medani security guards between him and door he came in.

Woah!
![]() I have to admit that I'm a bit unsure of how to handle this situation - mechanically. I remember you saying that the powers that we have are somewhat similar to 8th level D&D characters? I'm not sure what E'la could realistically do to get out. I can see some options (like trying to take a hostage), but I'm not sure if E'la would do such a thing. He obviously would want to escape this place and return to the world outside and the pouring rain - but if the path to the exit is blocked by guards and assuming that the Medani will have measures in place to be able to secure their main entrance (heh), that's not really an option. I'm not sure what he might be able to achieve with his sorcerous abilities. Note that I'm not looking for 'the' or even 'a' way to successfully flee - I'd just like to understand E'la's options to make a fitting decision. Failing is fine - although 'kill' doesn't sound promising. ![]() |

It could be worse - at least they don't have a pet Kraken.

Everyone needs a pet kraken =)
I'm not really sure what you're asking, but I'll have a go at it. There are many courses of action that you could do, but lets group them into two camps - the bull and the snake. Mechanically you have Many sorcereric powers - most of them you developed trying to survive the dangers of the Great Wood, and therefor tend towards the offensive, with a defensive power (lightning sheath). Your attack powers lie more on the path of the bull - charging the door, using your EB to inflict less lethal damage, using your Jacob's ladder to section off parts of the room so people won't cross them, etc. You 'll have to determine if you're wired more for a predator mentality (kill first, ask questions latter) or not. Your skills lie more along the path of the snake - concealment, stealth, climbing, acrobatics etc. We could also include your movement power here (charged leap), even though (as a power) its not subtle (you glow/crackle with lightning) but it can give you access to different areas that they might not expect a person off the street to be able to reach (the whole being able to jump 10 meters straight up/20 meters forward). So things like evading, running, hiding, and the like would be supported by your skills. There's also good old fashioned BS roleplaying - trying to talk your way out or at least into different areas where you could find a gap in their surveillance that may lead to something you could capitalize on. You may also wish to consider the possibility that the orc is setting you up. All of the great houses have security in their demesnes, and a house that has dragonmarks that specialize in perception would probably have really good surveillance (not to mention that they would be inclined to be suspicious of everyone, as that's more or less their 'job'). Hopefully that helps. Feel free to hit me up with follow up questions. |

E'la and I agree - we're not sure that what we're doing is the wisest course of action.

Sorry guys - Every time I try to get back to the game I have to prioritize my time elsewhere. Not really what I want but its just the way it seems to be. Since I can't really foresee a break in my current schedule I don't think it fair to keep stringing you guys along.
I appreciate your time and effort and apologize for not letting you down. J |
