How far off the map is the bandit, anyways?

Indeed. Is this "double move cautiously fleeing the guys with ranged weapons to get to your horse" or "panicked running leaving your back wide open to an arrow"?

The bandit is about 35' off the edge of the map and is definitely heading for the horses that the bandits left outside of the fort.

I was thinking of just healing myself and then staying within range of the bandit leader so he doesn't try to hobble away. Should I be chasing the straggler as well?

I think Kayel can handle a disabled guy in a beartrap, but it's your call.

I'll just heal myself then. Let the other guy escape and warn the bandits we're coming. That will make things more interesting!

BTW I got the Game Mastery Guide for my birthday. I love it.

I've been debating whether or not to buy it for the past few days. At a glance it seems much more insightful and detailed than GM advice usually is.

It has a lot of the standard fare (random tables out the wazoo, tips on how to deal with different types of players, etc.) but it also has lots of stuff that I haven't seen in a GM book before, like a page full of 'words every GM should know' or long lists of music recommendations. It goes into different ways to structure an adventure (linear vs. dynamic, and everything in between), with flow charts to explain the differences.

Overall I'm impressed. I have a feeling I'll be able to use it in all of my games.

Hey, this may be the only game I didn't slow down with my unexplained absence!

Don't worry, Darius, I've got your back. We new dads have to stick together.

I'm not a new dad anymore (6 years and 18 months), but time constraints don't really go away until they go to school, and even then only while they're actually in the school, which is far less time than it might seem.

Out of polite curiosity, and not because I want to put any pressure on anyone whatsoever (I'm pretty busy myself, and I know pretty much all of you are far busier than me), is it likely this game will restart at some point? Or are shelving it?

Errr. I have every intention of checking in this weekend to see if people are still interested. (Excuses excuses I know). That said, are people still interested? My new goal will be to update the game once or twice a week with a hiatus that will have to be scheduled this summer.

EDIT: Of course, I say that and my son has started walking. Not all the time to be sure, but tottering and teetering all the same. Also, I have found teeth marks on the arm of my glasses. Not sure who to blame- the baby or one of the cats.

I'm definitely still interested. :nods:

Oh, and congratulations on your son's walking!

I'm interested as well.

Though I'll definitely need to make Lynn be not so... abrasive.

I am interested

Though I may ask to change Kayel a bit, a few things are bugging me.

Due to me feeling like death yesterday, I didn't update as planned. Not sure when it will happen, but will strive to make it this week.
