Well in final fantasy 3 there is a character that pops in and out of the game from time to time and is very mysterious. He is a ninja named shadow. I figured something like that could help explain my infrequent postings if played correctly. There is just no way that I could keep up with ya'lls posting schedule the way it is. I am literally working two full time jobs, going to college full time and have two kids and a girlfriend fighting for my attention.

I really wouldn't want to impose on your time...

I'd rather wait for Dumari to post for Rory, before we get moving. It really is his action, and I don't want to rush things just because he's a bit busy. Otherwise, things'll get strange (like why Rory waits around for a few minutes with guards after him?).
He'll be here soon, I'm going to wait until then to post.

Also, I thought the guards were upstairs, and that Rory was the one hearing them?

The guards you know about were downstairs, inside.
But now you hear two guards outside.
It's only reasonable that they're patrolling outside, as well as guarding inside.

Ok, thanks.

Like I said, I'm gonna wait on Dumari, before I make my next post.

I've been waiting on posting to try to keep time even between myself and the rest of the party... should I just continue?
Edit: missed the question about whether Loryn answers. Posting now.

I think Dumari mentioned something about having a busy week, so I'm inclined to give another few days still.

I try to squeeze the time a couple times a week. I guess I would make a poor player in this game though. The DM would have to NPC me half the time just to keep the story moving along. I should bow out. I apologize. I thought I was ready to play again.

I will just spend my free time working on my own games that are stalled and works in progress until I get more time free up (sometime in the next year or so!). The older of my two games had a hard time getting off the ground the two times I tried and then I scrapped the world I had to a point by forwarding the timeline through a cataclysm to make it a better world for exploration styled adventuring. The first world I had was getting towards the end of time in the story I played my face to face roleplaying group through. Some people in the group went their separate ways so I decided to rock the world with earthquakes and heavenly wars until little save dust was left. I am currently still formulating the world again to a point where it is playable. The other game. The second game I didn't quite get started was a 4E Forgotten Realms game I wanted to try. Alas, the adventure I made was lost in the move and I have to recreate the whole adventure. And, I am still getting to know the system. Unfortunately I do not have much time or motivation for either right now. Besides, I don't particularily like 4E as much as 3.5ed.

Anyhow, I rant. I will observe and wish you luck with this game. I will let some of you know if I ever get one of my projects started again. Until then, good luck and God's speed.

I will donate the character idea I had for Francis though to run as an interesting allie, terrorizing enemy, or for some future player to take over. Do with him what you will. I put a little time and thought into his creation and would hate to see him completely go to waste. I would have had fun with him. I will post him as soon as I find the notepad I had him in.

Francis if Dumari doesn't post by the weekend, I guess we can go on a head assuming his actions. I won't be able to post until this weekend though (have some RL shit happening right now).

Okay thanks Elmer, I am looking forward to it.
We'll proceed in the weekend, when EC has had time to post Badger's actions.

Thank you for waiting patiently Francis. I really appreciate it.
So I guess Rory will be run as an NPC? At least for now?

Sorry guys,

but I am suffering from a lot of headaches, during the last 10 days.
I'm pretty sure it is caused by being in front of the computer or playing too many games.
Therefore, I am choosing for my own health and cannot continue this game at this time.
Perhaps in a few weeks when I am feeling better again.
My apologies,
but if one of you guys want to continue as DM, you're welcome.

Francis.

bummer. second game i tried on this board that didn't seem to work out. it seems that the pbem system works better than these boards....as all those games i am in are still going strong. i think people tend to get a little ahead of themselves on here.

thanks for the effort Francis, get better.

I'm not sure, as 5 of my other games here are still going quite strong. This game seems to be collapsing more because of a complicated player makeup, and not a problem of the medium.

Oh I agree... and I know there are a lot of successful games going on here, I was just stating I have failed at finding one =/

Then again it takes just as much trial and error sometimes in the PBeM world... I have seen a couple of those fizzle as well.

I actually was thrilled to find this site.... I guess I will lurk a bit more and see if I can find a successful game before I give up

I can't make any promises yet (because the player list is a bit sketchy right now), but my own game, Fantastic Reality, might still be able to use a new player, if you want to take a look.

I read through your rules.... and I'll admit it does look very intriguing, but I'm really just looking to roleplay my characters right now, not myself

I appreciate the info and definitely plan on lurking a bit one you guys get going! Could be a fun read!

Good luck with your campaign.

Thanks. Feel free to post in the OOC if you want, even if you don't play.
