I think we need to move forward if we are waiting on a PC to post an action.

Actually, I had thought we were waiting on Captain Gavis to be ready to post...? 'Cause I don't really know what he had planned...

So, out of character, how much is known about Ma Ha Suchi, Beastmen, and Lunars in general in Jades? (Clearly how ever much is known, Zhung is in the dark, but I'm curious myself.)

I would say they know a fair amount about the fighting styles of the beastmen (as much as can be observed during a siege) as for lunars and Ma Ha Suchi I don't think the average person would know the difference/care as an enemy is an enemy no matter the looks of it. the "ruling" bodies might be a bit more well informed about the possible background surrounding Ma Ha Suchi and Lunars in general though they might not be willing to part with such information as the lunars are anathema

For Game mechanics it is difficult to find any solid info on his power level or charms

Heh, I made the same mistake as Calsin did - I figured since it was in a decanter (which I looked up on Wikipedia to make sure), the clear liquid had to be alcoholic.
Do people in real life actually serve water from decanters?

If fresh water is a rare commodity it would be a point of honor to serve it to guests. additionally particularly clear water might also be hard to come by in an age (this is an assumption based on weapons technology) where there is no plumbing. And don't worry any liquid can be served from a decanter there is even a fun little item from D&D 3.5 http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems...ofEndlessWater

I guess I knew it could be served from a decanter, I just found it odd. Thanks for clearing that up Captain. Also, that endless water thing is cool.

In the Realm, clear clean water is a normal thing, left over from the 1st Age where indoor plumbing was normal. In the threshold, if your not near the inner sea or along the river Nexus is on, it is much harder to find. Left over 1st Age cities still have the indoor plumbing, but rainwater is much more often used.

Also, in Exalted, those rivers are MUCH larger than any river on Earth.....there is a lot of fresh water upstream from Nexus....but Nighthammer makes a lot of polution!

So, is it okay that Calsin hasn't seen water in a decanter before, or not? Would being a dynast and wandering monk affect his experiences here one way or another? Also, this is a seriously bizarre and inconsequential discussion. But I'm curious.

It actually speaks to your PIOUS nature that you have not seen it that way. Your obviously so into your faith that you have not experienced almost any 'niceties'.

Merbak: Your character would already know that the local blacksmith has a contract with the garrison of mercenaries that allows for free armaments (within reason). special orders would take time but you would be free to choose from anything he has in stock which would be billed to the garrison.

Hope you don't mind that I took a little liberty with my post in order to establish Calsin's character.

The ball is in Saraban's hands now.

Hi, Im new here and if you dont have that full circle yet Id love to fill in a twilight spot.

Im going to spam you my character concepts.
This is my first time on these forums so Ill be browsing it and getting familiarized.

I am going to give you my character info in short cause its late here for me.

Im highly familiarized with the game mechanics but dont be surprised if you need to point some obvious stuff out to me, I assure you that what I lack in experience I will make up for in creativity, unlike your first date!!
But it wont take me long to catch up to it all.

Eclipse: Former human cattle in a demon worshipping cult, used as sustainable sacrificial aid and as a human telephone pole for demonic messages, this quirky einstein with a bad hairday looking solar is looking to worship the wonders of the outside world.
Fiercely determined to delve into mechanical and organic life, also a strong love for things that go boom cause he missed out on life let alone childhood, nothing more fun than pushing buttons and watch things go boom.

This approach of "into the big world" could give proper setting for my lower experience and smooth OOC and in character play.
Though i should say lorewise Im quite up to date.
Read just about every book.
Im giving you a quick browse and ill get on tommorow to browse and reply some more.

Cya, hope that spot is still open.

Captain, mechanically, what kind of checks should I be doing right now?

Oh, and Sharky, we already have twilight filled - that would be my character. We don't have an eclipse yet though. Unless the others are okay with a lopsided circle, with two twilights?

If you have a kid a lack of structure will knock you on your ass.

Im going to look into these online character sheets and get you my eclipse digitalized.
Id like to add that Id like it a lot if you guys would rescue my character after you are already together somewhat.
Im thinking subterranean stronghold with a predominant erimanthoi-esque demon cult possibly linked to ma ha suchi and her ape men indirectly.
Ehmm but I dont want to high-jack the story or be a mayor spoiler.
Ill elaborate on my characters psyche and experiences as a slave more.
He is going to be pretty combat weak and Im going to go essence weapons/ flameweapons to keep an appearance there I wont say I wont gear him for it but it wont be my main focus.

We are going to be somewhere below nexus and junglyish???
Id love that scene, what cultural setting??

Ask me what stats you need of me.

Sorry for the wall of posts.

A link to character sheets for online use would be awesome cause I dont know what Im looking for although Im trying to find it.

Found your character sheets, quite straight forward and ez. OKay ill post my character there tomorrow joy joy

Erm, actually Sharky, before you post a character, make sure the others are on board. None of them have been on yet, and I don't want to step on anybody's toes. Especially since there was someone else interested a while back...

Sharky as EC already said I need to check with the others about you joining and it would have been nice if you had PMed me instead of jumping into the OOC. Pending the approval from the 3 other players I will work with you on how you will be woven into the storyline as it is currently in progress. Additionally, since this is a circle being reborn you would need to work with the other players on character concept to make sure you fit into the circle and don't overlap someone's specialty.

In game your character would be making all of his checks he would naturally associate with such a puzzle....Out of game just make random rolls and see what works

I will be making a roll thread ....NOW!
