Woooo Whooooo the forum is live! Ok, quick question to the players - do you all want to post full character sheets in a thread or just descriptions? I will start a characters thread and you guys just go ahead and post any way you want.

I figure that each of your characters already knows (somewhat) each other, so I leave it to you how much or how little informaiton you wish to post about them.

Well if we all know each other then might as well post character details. Since our characters would have a general idea what each other can do anyway.

There are some details about my character that my character doesn't even know, yet. I hope to have them revealed in game as things progress.

I have to tell you guys that I am very much looking forward to this game. It just seems that all kinds of coincidences are lining up for my character concept. My level of anticipation is at the boiling point ;-)

EDIT: The GM even took my suggestion for the game title!

Your title very much fits. As for your character not knowing everything you the player knows; isn't that the fun in discovering all that stuff?

I agree that character sheets should be posted up as we will all be working together. I also think that those details that the character doesn't even know about himself should not be posted. I will post mine when I get the chance.

I will post of summation of my character's stats sometime tomorrow or just before I head off to work tonight. Graveyard is playing havoc on my sleep for the time being.

Clearly my time for posting is relative to the amount of sleep I have had. Character sheet is up as complete as I can make it.

No worries, get posted what you can when you can. Just a quick question. It mentioned in your write up that you are affiliated with a university, any one in particular?

Just not Miskitonic (I hope).

My character is posted up, just needs more on his backstory but the gist of it is there.

Holy cow, I never thought of this!! Lawwnum makes a good point in the story thread. Just what do we want to do for die rolling. I am open to all suggestions. You guys are the players, what do you prefer?

Do we use the die roller on this site. Do I roll for everyone, or do you go with the honors system and everyone rolls on their own and posts the results.

9 TN5 (TRIPLE BOTCH)

So I am making an Arete roll with Time 3 for a vulgar effect to slow down time for the big bad uber powerful techno-machine. Dif should be 7, but I am going to drop it by spending 2 quint.

EDIT: Well guess my badluck.....damn!

OK I can't go on until this is answered. What do you all want to do for die rolling issues?
Thanos made his idea known by rolling dice in the on site die roller. Toc-Rat just did an action and left it up in the air as to how it will be resolved. I guess since he did not post any numbers he votes for me to roll the dice. Then there is Lawwnum who wants to roll his own.

I am not sure what to do. So I will present it this way. You all vote: we either use the on-site die roller with each player rolling his dice (in the actual story thread please in an OOC post script to your IC story post) OR I roll the dice here live and in person and you guys just trust me not to screw you over.

So what say you? Once I get a majority I will roll out from there - however no matter what is decided I just gotta use that triple botch that Thanos rolled. Wow, what a way to start a game!

Ok the verdict is in...we roll dice. Just to make sure everyone knows how to roll, I will post this again:

[roll]xd10[/roll]

"x" is the number of dice you wish to roll.

Just go ahead and add all die rolling to the IC Story thread as an OOC post script. This way we don't have to bounce back and forth between threads to check for die rolls and results.

Good. That is what I was going to go with. The dice on site are not as horrible as you might think.

In reference to the above ROLL that I was doing. It was only an example. Jamming the gun with Forces or Time would only be a lv2 effect and not vulgar ;-)

It was just an example.

If you mean the triple botch was an exaple I must have missed where you listed it as so - oh that is right you didn't. Nice try though....

"A" for effort but you failed to stick the dismount.

Ummmm, 'big bad uber powerful techno-machine' does not describe an Uzi and slowing down time for an object is not vulgar. The character did not use a required focus like Enochian IC either. I was specifically making an example for the die roller to show people what it looked like.....and I had not read the IC stuff yet and didn't know anything had even happened IC.

I really don't want the character to start the game with Dox and -2 quint because I was attempting to give an example that happened to be somewhat similar to the IC thread I had not read yet.

This is your one mulligan. Enjoy my benevolence.

As to the effect being vulgar or not, I was just going off of what you posted (see the portion in your quote I highlighted for emphasis)....as you can see above YOU are the one that posted you were making a vulgar action. Not my fault I was not able to guess you were making a roll for illustration purposes. We will just chalk this one up for poor communications due to internet timing, or some other such silly thing.

However your roll still goes as stands, it already made it into the story; but I will not dock you the quint OR penalize you with the 'dox.

I just thought that it was close enough, even being a few hours away, that a huge SWAT raid culminating in an exploding building would get a passing mention. Hell Vegas talks about when LA or even Phoenix has a violent police action or other some such thing go on.

Doesn't really matter though, it didn't get on the news and the party marches on.

The Bodak is a chaotic evil humanoid with smooth grayish-black skin and a featureless face. Its gaze kills living creatures. It is said that humanoids who die in some of the most evil places of the Abyss return as bodaks. The bodak was introduced in the first edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in the module Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (1982), and later appeared in the first edition Monster Manual II (1983).

Thanks Wikipedia.

Don't know if you got all this, but I am out in the armpit of hell, known as Fort Stockton. Its like Baker, CA with a Walmart. I am doing 12+ hour days on an opposite schedule than I have been keeping for the last 3 months. BUT I am learning stuff and doing some homework most days.

All that to say that posting will be slow and short. First day back online...only an 11 hour day today and not nearly tired like yesterday. Must be acclimating to the schedule a bit.
