Our final bout of the tournament features two slaves who are not likely to survive past the feast tonight.

Shhhh, you're making me drool. Looks like James has a nice shiny new bow and rapier today.

Yeah. After those expenses, his owner would probably eat him even if he were able to win the tournament.

James forgoes his usual strategy of advancing carefully, in order to close the distance. He rushes up to varla, drawing his rapier along the way.

Varla is momentarily surprised by James's reckless charge, but she is quick to recover. Moving with inhuman speed she dives away, avoiding James's flashing rapier and simultaneously calling up a burst of energy.

OOC:
Activate boots as a free action. Tumble to L1 at half speed (automatic success) then move to Q7. Manifest Energy Stun (Cold) augmented with +9PP (12PP) at J/K-2/3 using Overchannel (3d8 damage=[roll0]).

Energy Stun damage 10d6+10=[roll1], Fort save DC=28 (10 base +6 Int +2 power level +9 augment +1 Psionatrix). On a failed Fort save James needs to make a Will save DC 28 or be stunned.

If James is not stunned Varla will use Mental Barrier as a swift action augmented for 5 extra rounds (10PP).

James looks anxious to get into the action.

His waiting game yesterday with Timmy didn't work out so well for him.

Ouch, Varla overextended herself badly there, that kind of ache won't leave her head for days.

OOO, she slipped on in on James there! That ache will last a while too!

James runs, drawing his rapier as he goes.
Varla tumbles (automatic success) and then moves. Varla invokes overchannel and takes 22 damage. Varla manifests augmented Energy Stun (cold) (12pp). James fort +15 = 24 vs DC 28, fails, James takes 45 damage. James will +14 = 18 vs DC 28, fails, James is stunned for 1 round.

Reeling slightly from the effects of overextending herself so greatly, Varla is relived to see James standing stunned. She quickly channels the power of her mind, building up a tremendous charge at the tip of her finger, before allowing it to leap forward and ground itself through James's armor, and hopefully James himself as well.
