Well, Brunhilda had a tough match yesterday, but todays match should be an entirely different challenge.

Indeed, Gork will be easy to find, despite fighting without his companion Peanut from the first round, but he's going to try and make it hard for her to do anything but squirm.

Will pork be on the menu tonight?

Brunhilda smiles to the crowd, adjusts her armor so it is a bit more comfortable, and with her familiar opening, gets a running start and leaps into the air, once again bursting into flames at the peak of her jump, and landing lightly on her feet on a platform. She calls out to her opponent, batting her eyelashes, "Hey there, big boy." She squints at Gork and hefts her magic rock, estimating the distance between them.

ooc: running start, jump to the platform at I-23, trying to impress, activate nimbus for circumstance bonus.

Gork feels a moment's panic at not having Peanut at his side for a fight for the first time in years. He closes his eyes for a moment and lets the familiar sounds and smells of the arena reassure him. Gazing across the arena at the giantess with the large rock in hand, an idea occurs to him. In an elaborate pantomime, he swings his mancatcher around like a baseball bat, pretending to hit a large ball, then, in what can only be an impersonation of Brunhilda, looks around frantically, unable to find something. He then repositions himself, and assumes a fighting stance.

ooc: perform weapon drill +22, then move around the platform to F-35. Mancatcher in hand.

Seeing the Giantess burs into flames again, Gork smiles at his foresight and casts a spell, keeping an eye on his opponent to see what she'll do as he closes the distance between them.

Brunhilda realizes that she's a bit closer to the Behir than she'd like, so she steps into the sky to gain some distance. In response to Gork's pantomime, she cries out,

"Try to hit this!!!"

and hurls her magic rock at him.

Not wanting to repeat the embarassment from last round, Brunhilda activates her armor before falling from the sky. She laughs as her rock returns to her, and taunts Gork,

"That's what I thought! Now lets turn up the heat a bit!"

As she speaks, the fire surrounding her spreads to the magic rock which is once more in her hand.

Still smarting from the impact of Brunhilda's rock, Gork peers around for some cover and activates a fly spell of his own. Using his enhanced speed, he makes a quick dash for cover, mindful of the nearby dinosaur.

ooc: cast fly on self from Winged Boots, move via I-31 to N-26, take cover behind the crate in M-26 and/or the wall in M-25.

ooc: whoops, got the order they were acting in mixed up last round. Oh well. Had I realized that Gork was acting first, I'd have had Brunhilda move further off instead of activating weapon afire. Not immune from making mistakes, even against myself.

Gork rises up over the wall and speeds toward Brunhilda, leading with his mancatcher. As he draws into range he lashes out at her with it.

Since Gork made a melee attack against Brunhilda he takes damage from her nimbus. Nimbus deals 7 damage. Fire resistance reduces to 0.

Brunhilda rages and tries to force open the mancatcher. 19 vs. 16. Success. Brunhilda escapes from the mancatcher.

Gork initiates a series of corkscrews and flips which bring him closer to Brunhilda, and he reaches out with his vice-like grip.

Brunhilda responds to Gork's bearhug quickly, knowing from his battle against Foom that she wouldn't have much time before the manacles came out. She headbutts him in the face, and then lashes out with elbows and knees, and each time she strikes him, the flames surrounding her reach out to scorch him.

Time to see how limber you are, 'fire lady!' Gork sneers at Brunhilda. He pulls her arms together behind her back and twists painfully, as he pulls a set of manacles from his belt and latches them onto her.

ooc: cast swift haste, attempt to pin Brunhilda, quickdraw non-magic manacles and attempt to hogtie Brunhilda, if hogtie successful use remaining attacks to deal grapple damage, otherwise continue attempting to hogtie.

Note: While Quickdraw does shorten the draw time to a free action, it doesn’t eliminate the need to make a grapple check to draw the manacles. Also, since you can’t draw a weapon while pinning an opponent, that has to be done first.
Gork attempts to draw his manacles. Grapple 45 vs. 42. Success. Gork draws his manacles.
Gork attempts to cast swift haste. Concentration 9 vs. DC 23. Fails. Gork loses his spell.
Note: Since Gork has one less attack than he rolled for, I will ignore his second roll at his highest BAB and move straight on to the third (where the attack bonus starts to go down).

Letting his mancatcher fall to the ground, Gork draws another set of manacles with his right hand and a dagger with his left, and attacks Brunhilda from all angles with both weapons.

ooc: quickdraw magic masterwork manacles and masterwork dagger and full attack Brunhilda, using bring 'em home alive ability to deal only non-lethal damage. Successful attacks also do an additional 3d6 of non-lethal from non-lethal strike and 1 str damage from crippling strike.
