Erin/LG "Agent, assassin for a tech company? Was it BioTech? Hmmmmmm....."

As I'm processing that information I absentmindedly reach to try the door but shake my head before I touch it. Walk around to the back, watching for cameras and traps and... everything! I know they are too, but I do look to make sure they're alert.

Cassandra "No, I'm pretty sure it wasn't BioTech. Probably a related company though." Of course there are cameras. There's one on every corner. Traps, well you'll have to wait and see if you spring one.

LG Right. All is normal in other words and you know I'm declaring I'm on alert. Okay, to the back door.

LB Erin, Anthony and Cassandra make their way to the back of the house. You have never seen this side of the house before. The lawn is expertly manicured, and the smell of fresh cut grass is in the air. The flower beds display a variety of the most amazing colors. Even the in-ground pool is built to replicate a fantastic waterfall. You almost have a feeling of serenity as you move through the yard. You come to the back door which is also locked. Anthony, using his old school techniques, makes quick work of it though and pushes it open. The house is quite. Erin you catch a scent of lavender as you step into the kitchen. It is a large kitchen with very modern appliances. With a quick check behind you, you continue on. Anthony and Cassandra follow as you make your way through the house. It is very quiet. You come to the study, and a picture of Jackson's dead body runs through your mind. It is as quiet as a tomb.

Just as you search for those words a noise that seems to explode from the wall startles you. Part of the wall slides away, and exposes a large screen. Suddenly Jackson's image fills the screen. "Hello Erin. I knew you couldn't stay away for long." He smiles as he continues, "I see you brought some company with you. Ahh, voyeurism is sooo naughty." He pauses again for just a second then continues, "In all seriousness you have shown up quicker than I expected. I imagine my lawyers haven't even finished all the paperwork. Oh well, no sense in waiting. As you will come to find out, I have left almost all of my assets to you Erin, including this house. I'm sure you'll think about burning it down, but that would be a serious waste. The lawyers will go over the details of those things with you. What they won't go over, and have no idea of are these things. For my payment to you, for my freedom, I have made sure the details and all samples of Concord have been destroyed. Also, with my death, all traces of any foreign elements I introduced into you and your companions died as well. I know, I know, I'm so easy, but it is the least I could do for you, after all you did for me. Well, ta ta for now." Jackson smiles and the screen goes blank.

LG/Erin I look at the blank screen and that smile and just stare, dumbfounded. "What the ****?!"

I turn and look at Anthony and Cassandra. "What's he talking about his freedom?! What are you talking about!!!!" I have turned back, am yelling at the stupidly blank screen. This is seriously disturbing. Why is he thanking me for killing him? I like this less than I liked killing him. I ... shoot. I don't know. I guess I sit down and gape for a minute.

LB When you turn to Anthony and Cassandra they have that same dumbfounded stare you are having.

LG/Erin After a minute or two, I shake it off and stand up.

"Okay, well, a few things he's said have made sense now. I ... I thought he might have wanted me to kill him, but this isn't at all... I guess Yami has pulled out completely then. On.... his orders? Uh, oh, yuck, um... shoot, let's see what we can see."
I suppose I'm going to be looking through the house now. I have no idea what I'm looking for, but now I doubt I'm going to find it anyway. But, let's see the damn house.

LB Erin, the three of you wander around the house. As you suspect there is nothing of importance concerning Jackson or Yami here. So you wander around a large 10 bedroom, 10 bath, not including the huge master bed and bath, fully furnished mansion. The library is still loaded with books. There is a game room with a billards table, dart boards, and a couple older standing arcade video games. The kitchen as mentioned is quite large and fully stocked. Everything is very elegant and very expensive. Is there anything in particular you are interested in?

LG Yeah, there's a few things.

I want to see if there's any traces of Yami left -- her wardrobe, etc. I want to see if the spear is still there. Oh, yeah, while I'm at it that mind ready device too. Are all the traces of wyrm just gone? Actually the other three can help me figure out if there's any thing of any significance too. Is any of his personal bookkeeping there, day planner, etc. Searching the desk in particular for that, of course.

AND searching for the surveillance system so I can watch the pull out after we left. That's a lot of stuff, so it should do for now.
Erin, There are no clothes of any sort in the house, closet or dressers. The spear is no where to be found, neither is the mind reading device you speak of. The three of you poke around and find that there is no more trace of the Wyrm than any other house in this area. In fact some Wlyd spirits have begun to hang around in the forest area behind the property. His desk is as empty as the closets, although it is very clean. There is no dust anywhere to be found.

LB It takes a little longer to find the security area, but with Anthony's know how and some persistence, you all find it behind the panels of the library. Once in there, you see the back of the panel that Jackson was on not so long ago. Again there is nothing in here. Everything has been removed. Well almost, there is one slot with a flashing light, and a piece of dvd protruding. When you touch the keys of the that panel a small screen comes to life with the word 'Deleted' on it. It is the only disc in the room. With the flick of a couple more switch's Anthony turns on the rest of the system, and the monitors light up showing you the outside property.

LG/Erin So, just out of curiosity, does it share a wall with the kitchen?

"Well guys... I don't really know what to think. We can't find any place where he could have controlled the panel from, can we I don't know if I'm being watched for real, what with that voyeurism comment, or he just had a timer on that thing, so that if I showed up early I'd get that message... or what!? And does it even matter? Did he just do that to plant a seed of crazy in my mind... we should be able to track it and figure it out. I bet that's this DVD, and it had a self-delete some something or another, and he's trying to give me the gift of paranoia from beyond the grave. Well, we can take it and try and find out." I do reach for the DVD, but otherwise I'm seriously looking at my partners for any thoughts at all.

Nope it's down the hall from the kitchen.

You reach for and take the DVD from it's slot. When you look over you see Anthony has sat down and begun messing with the security system. His fingers run over the keys as he keeps his eyes on the screen, although he does answer, "Nice gift!"

Cassandra is looking at the room in more detail. She seems to be examining the walls.

I glance at Anthony, shaking my head and chuckling. "Yeah, he never does anything half ass. You do realize I haven't decided if I'm accepting it, right? So enjoy your playtime." I smile at him and walk up to Cassandra, trying to see whatever she's looking at. "What do you see?"

Von: I just keep lookin at him with that "OH just grow up and take responsiblility" look.
"Really now."
I just keep lookin at him.

LB/Welks: "Really, never heard of him." As he frees himself and brushes himself off.

Von: i get closer, almost up to his face. and talk to him in a low but threatening tone.
"You Sir, have knowledge that could benefit you and you choose to be out her everyday on the streets scrounging for food. Everyday looking for a place to eat, sleep, and even ****. Everyday ducking cops for lortering in spots too often. Dont you think its time to stop acting like a ****ing child and take responsiblity. Take control of your life, make it better. Solve puzzles to make a better community so others dont have to live like this day to day. Why dont you grow up and be a man, not some cockroach hiding beneath the cracks of society. Mr. Stephen Wilks."
i stay up in his face. IM pissed.

LB: Von, He just looks at you. Then when you finish, "Is that all. Fine you said your bit, get out of my face, and go stuff yourself." He pushes past you to go back to the line.

Von: He doesnt contribute any good to the society, hes not doing anything to help himself out or anyone around him, i dont even see why he should exist. If he wasnt so important id murder him right now.

LB: Von the phone rings but you get Marcus' voice mail.

Von: "Oh your supposed to lead these few down a certain path so they MIGHT awaken."

pfffttt. I'm as willing as anyone to help these guys out but first they must help themselves out. They all act like undisciplined 6-year-olds. If they were to awaken right now they would probably just do stuff to better suit themselves.

Von watches Stephen eat his dinner from across the street. Then follows him after he leaves. Wilks is very paranoid and looks back over his shoulder quite often.(Give me 3 shadowing rolls to follow unseen. Unless you don't care if he sees you.)

Von: 9, 11, 12 are my rolls I dont think von had any stealth, BUT i know for a fact that he has this ability where people and things just dont pick him up or notice becuase "the camera doesent focus on him" or people just look him over. I dunno what that give me for shadowing but ive got it. I dunno if it works on everything or just machinery.

LB: Von, You are correct you do have that ability. It does effect people as well, so whether you have shadowing or not with those rolls..... Von it's as if everytime he looks back, someone steps in front of you, a car drives between the two of you, or something else impedes his ability to really notice you. You follow him for about 20 blocks. He then goes down an alley way and climbs into a cardboard box, pulling the lid shut.

LB: We are now waiting to see what adventures Von shall take us on??

Lin and Vash

CC: So, I just need to know what Lin needs to do to help Romeo to get Lin and Vash to Mongolia.

LB: Lin, Romeo has everything under control, but unless you have some names and regions of origin already picked out, he is going to need a few hours for some research.

CC/Lin: A few hours is just fine. I can get where I need to once there.

LB: Romeo has your papers ready in about two hours. Your passport is that of a Chinese businessman. Vash's passport is that of an American tourist. He has all of the papers required for you 2 to make the trip. Romeo has also booked a flight out. It departs at 6:30 in the morning, has a transfer in California, then Hawaii, then Japan, to Mongolia.

CC/Lin:
I let Vash know that I was waiting on some input from him, and he said that he'd actually tried a number of times to "get onto giant", but was thwarted. I don't know how hard he tried, and Outlaw_Elf did echo the thought - tried to get onto Giant, but unable. They actually seemed interested. I don't know what the deal is, though.

Lin -
Hop the plane, and enjoy the layovers - how much time will we have between individual legs of the trip? If we have a long stop in Tokyo, there's someone I'd like to pop in on. If not, no big deal. I'd like it if we could get to Ulan Baator earlier in the day rather than later.

LB: Lin, Your flight is early in the morning so you go and pack and plan out your trip in your mind. (Lets wait and see if you actually make it to 6:30)

CC/Lin: Then I get everything procured, secured, and stowed. I will go to Romeo specifically, and let him in on the deal with Vash's arm.

So, Romeo - what can we do about that? I'm not thinking I can get him on much of anything with a vulcan cannon built into his elbow.

LB: This certainly takes Romeo by surprise, "Well I guess there goes those tickets. Well maybe not, has he ever been through a metal detector that you know of?"

CC/Lin: I really couldn't tell you. He's a stray I've... been assigned. He seemed to know something about that damn fool Atamus, but past that I've really got nothing. Is there a way to mask it?

Vash: Vash-
After a long zone out,
"No one is going to touch me. But I dont know a whole lot about Atumas, Ive been wanting to know the verdit he was given after his time up?

i just walk up to the box, and stand there for a minute.

Cassandra, looks at you, "These walls seem wierd. I'm not sure... I can't figure ..." she starts to focus again.

I'll go and look at the walls then. "You see anything, Stick?"

Erin, Stick 'looks' at the wall, "Nope, don't see anything." Cassandra runs her hand along the wall, "No, it's not Wyrm, it's more like.." "Weaver!," Anthony finishes. "The walls have sensors in them, as does the one with the sliding panel. That's more than likely how it knew to activate when we walked in."

I grab the box ripping it open, seeing the scared pathetic little man shivering there. Grabbing Wilks head, i punch him in the gut then knee him in the face, grabbing his body as he starts to crumple to the floor. I throw his body against the brick wall and toss him on the ground, i get on his back and proceed to bash his head in using the rock that was close by.

and after i stop day dreaming i walk away, pissed as can be.

"Ill deal with him later."

I think for a second, because that's really interesting, but I'm not sure what to make of it. And then I ask them, "Show me, I'm not sure I understand how you mean that."

Anthony gives you a look, but smiles, "Okay. The walls have sensors in them. It looks like heat sensors, and possibly more. The system was reset to all it's defaults, so nothing is active right now, and it will take me more time to find everything, and by time, I mean lots of time. The heat sensors I'm pretty sure about, so if the system was running it probably detected you and initated the message. Then, like we're figuring, it deleted the message, and reset itself. Basically this house has been cleaned down to the last detail."

I nod. "I see now. Hmmmm... Well then, wow, ok.

Do you guys have anything more to do here right now? I don't think I'm going to find out any more til I speak to these lawyers, honestly. But if you want to keep searching through the computer, I can find something to read in the library. Or play some pinball."

((Actually, I'm already wandering off towards the library anyway, because I didn't ask what kinds of books Jackson had stocked. I meant to ask when we searched the house. But my ears are out for an answer, and if they're wrapping their searches up I can too.))

Von, you leave the alley and head toward's your next target. What's the plan?

Erin, Anthony turns, "No, there's nothing there. At least information wise. Just the nuts and bolts of the hardware, and software. I'm ready." Cassandra quickly follows suit, "No, I'm more than ready. This is a little to creepy for me."

"I agree. It's creepy. So let's jet."

We'll head out. Is it fully dark now?

"Ok, now, I have one final thing on MY agenda for today. So if there's anything else anyone else wants to do first, I want to go to Tabitha's place tonight. We can wait for a bit, until the night's really flowing, if you guys have anything. I just haven't seen it since it has been up and running. I'll see if I can get her to sing." I smile, waiting for any other suggestions. Tabby singing would be nice, heck, more than nice. I want to see her anyway, and I've not been able to pin her down because I've been too busy.

There is a moment or two of silence as they look back and forth at each other, then Anthony shrugs, "Should we check in with R?"

Well, let's see. Is it fully dark yet? :fun: I mean, that's why I asked it. It's New Orleans, and 7 o'clockish I figure, but I wanted to be sure I was on schedule, which means, "No, there's light outside still" if I'm right about the time. Heck, I'll go with my gut. It never fails to screw me over somehow interesting. :)

I know it's all Inspector Gadget and everything, but do you think you would work up a... new arm for our man? You know, we can have his "walking around arm" for everyday, then his "covering fire arm" for more formal events.

Erin, Only Romarus is with you in the living room. You haven't seen or heard anyone else since you arrived. "Everything's fine. Still working on my little hit squad, or whatever you want to call them. What are you guys up to?"

Von, You actually do find our young Mr. Hanks at work. You set about watching him for the next several hours. He seems to be quite the industrious worker. He moves from station to station helping the other workers as well as doing what is apparently his job. All the while with a nice smile and happy attitude.

well im here to see how he.........well hold on a minute. He doesnt have anything wrong with him, he seems to be a friendly guy and hes fairly young. He isnt in any trouble so lets just go up there all friendly like and just make friends. Friends have influence and if i become a good friend i can influence him to a bright path or what not. what is it that he is doing?

Vash, Romeo replies, "Here just place everything in this container, and I'll store it for you." He pulls a container out of the back of his van and holds it out.

Von, He works at the fast food joint in the evenings so he is behind the counter helping put together orders, as well as helping anyone else who looks like they need help.

Erin, "No everything is under control, go and enjoy your evening. Metairie huh. There are some nice places out there. Wait a minute, I didn't think you,....Who's leaving you property?"

I give him a look. "You're right, I don't. Besides Atamus, the only recently deceased I know of. It's very nice, you're right on that much."

He looks at you, "Well that should be interesting. Although standard rules of engagement I guess. To the victor, goes the spoils."

[LadyGlutter]

"Interesting is one word. He said it was his present for 'freeing' him. And had a whole contingency plan for if I did 'free' him. The area is all cleaned up as far as I can tell. Looks like a different world to me.

Anyway, if you can keep your eye out for what happens with his associates, I'd appreciate it. There's no trace."

well i go up to the restaurant and order something it doesn't matter what. Ill notice him and smile.

Von, "I try, thanks!" and he is away again. Someone drops something by the grill and he moves around to help them with it.

"Thanks. I meant this side anyhow. I have the Umbra much better covered than you. I HOPE.

Nothing you need me for then? And is there anyone around I should talk with before I go chill for a bit?"

ill eat my food slowly just watching him from time to time.

"I wonder why hes so energetic, other than the high drug use. I might get the whole story if i were to just observe. but dammit, im so sick and tired of observing, acting like some special agent who keeps the cool. Screw it."

i wait till he gets off work and then introduce myself.

"Heya, im new in town and i was hoping to meet a new friend."

Erin, "No, everything is under control right now. Go have some fun."

Von, You wait and introduce yourself. He looks at you for a second and replies, "Hmmmm, sorry dude I'm straight. Thanks anyhow." and turns to head to his car.

highly annoyed, i just come out and say it.

"Peter, ive been hired to help you out, by who i really don't know but id appreciate if you would help me help you out."

"Dude, I don't know you, and I don't need any help. So if you don't mind, blow." He again turns to go to his car.

Too bad his car battery is dead, and his gas tank has a puncture in it and after sitting out all day he has no gas in his car.

Von, (scrap metal would come under the Matter sphere, although your other reason for it not happening is good as well.) The boy tries to start the car and you hear the engine barely turn over a few times and stops. After that it does nothing as he turns the key. He sits back for a moment and then wiggles around some. He looks down at something, then places a cell phone to his ear, "Hey Jack..."

After making sure no one else has anything to do here, we are heading back downstairs, into the car, and to the boat.

Erin, after everyone stares at each other for a few seconds, you all pile into the elevator, go downstairs, and pile into the car. From there you drive down to the Riverwalk. You see where Tab's boat is docked and head that way. You can fell the difference in the air as you make your way to the boat. You are greeted by a very nice looking young man as you cross the 'gangplank'.

"Good evening Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to Tabbie's. Are you familiar with the establishment or do you need an escort?" His smile is certainly inviting.

Oh, you KNOW I want to get the regular person off the street treatment before I say I'm friends with the fabulous Tabbie. I smile back while looking around, "We would love an escort."

The young man smiles, "Very good then." He turns and signals another young man, with a very nice and warming smile. The greeter turns back to you, "This is Lucas, he will be your escort."

I smile at Lucas as well and wait to be escorted somewhere and taking in the sights.

Lucas seemed to be waiting for somethind then quickly moves along, "Right this way." He turns and begins to talk, "The Lady Tabitha is a fairly new edition to our great city, and certain to become one of it's greatest attractions. She is a three decked vessel......" To save myself some typing. He goes on about the boat, and shows you the three seperate decks. The first deck is the casino and showroom. The second deck is a lounge and dining area, and the third deck is rooms and suites. After a full tour of the ship Lucas returns you the main (casino) deck. "Well, I hope you enjoyed the tour. Please enjoy yourselves and have a wonderful evening." He smiles once again. Anthony steps forward and shakes his hand. "Thank you Lucas we will." With that Lucas takes his leave.

(Lol, ok, so time for my ignorance to come out. I thought I knew what you just said and then realizes how clueless I am when I tried to decide where I was going. Yeah, yeah, I know. Go on and laugh, but answer my question. So, what is the difference between a lounge and a showroom?)

In this instance, the showroom is were people would perform their acts, whatever they be. The lounge is basically a cormfortable area to drink and talk. It is not noisy, and the seating arrangement isn't like a standard bar. There may be a better term for it, but apparently I didn't think of it.

Well, i don't see how these people can be helped if they keep believing they don't need to be helped. Ill need to find a way to show them this. if i cannot ill just put them out of their misery for the greater good. Like the reports and Thomas said, they CAN further the benefit the community but if they start getting out of hand...i wont allow it. They wont get far.

Well as you stand there debating with yourself Von he continues his conversation, "Yeah man, I'm at work and I think my battery is dead. Could you come give me a jump, or a ride?........... Alright thanks, see you in a bit."

He close his cell phone and sits there for the moment.

Hmmm... Let's head to the showroom first then. We can lounge after we see the show.

You head in to the 'showroom'. It is connected to the casino, so you hear the music as you are exiting the casino. You pass through a short corridor and into the room. It's fairly large with concert type seating, that looks really comfortable, and standing room up front. Right now a local band is playing. You see their name on the back of the stage, 'Raunched'. They have a heavy rock style.

Well, i just walk off. i start heading back to the hotel. Ill be finding Thomas and ill have a chat with him and these people who need to be "helped".

Hmmmmmm.... sounds my speed then. I'm pushing my way to the front to get a closer look and go deaf! Yay. No Lin to aggressively beat the hell out of me while I dance ought to be an interesting change of pace. :D

Erin, you make your way to the front. The music beats against you. You feel it rattle your bones. There are lots of people up here dancing and laughing. Although you can't hear them.

Ah, what's a little hearing loss? I'll enjoy myself for a few songs and be part of the crowd. I think I might can still do that, let's see. Did the others opt to come with me or finding a seat? I'll make note of where they are so I can come back in a bit.

They opt on a seat. They are in the front seating row, so you can see them at almost all times.

Alright. So I enjoy a couple of songs, dancing, crowd surf, lol, no, not really, not wanting to do that, but you know, etc. The stuff you do at a concert on the front row. Once I've worked up a decent sweat, I'll go back to sit down with the calmer ones and watch the crowd, figure out what the bands all about, listen to lyrics, the stuff you do from seats at a concert. :)

Erin you can tell as you approach the calmer ones they are still 'eyeing' the crowd, and discussing what's what, and who's who. You sit down and a drink awaits you. From what you can tell the band is about what they are promoted to be, a local group with a chance. Otherwise they are severly downplaying their abilities. The music is good, but you have heard better. The lyrics are the typical anti-whatever lyrics that have become popular. The crowd is filled with a younger audience, early to mid-20's. Nothing really jumps out as any threat, or really even that interesting.

I point to the drink, "Is this mine? Who ordered it?" laughing. Yeah I'm partly joking but of course I won't drink it unless they say it's cool.

If that's whats all going on then I'll sit and chill for a bit. If it's really pretty boring, that's okay by me. I can soak up the company I'm with for the moment. We can move after I finish the drink, unless they want to stay.

Anthony smiles and chuckles, "Who do you think." Shaking his head at you. He lifts his glass to you in a symbolic cheer.

The music is good, and the crowd is entertaining for the most part, but nothing of real interest is going on. They are ready to move on when you are.


Von, you make it back to the hotel without any incident.

Lin and Vash go to the airport for 6 a.m.

Ok -- I suppose we'll spend about a half hour in here before going to the next room. I'm not super interested in the casino, we'll save the lounge for last. My intent is to spend a little time, maybe a drink's worth of time in there as well.

No, I've really not got an agenda planned. The idea is to chill out, and let Cassandra chill out, etc for a few hours. If something happens it happens. Otherwise, I'm just going to spend a while in the casino then move to the lounge and see what's there. I know Lin's in stasis because of me, so if you want to say a good time was had by all and fade to black it's alright by me...)

Hmmm, Cassandra chill out...doesn't look like it's going to happen. She spends most of the time eyeing people. Trying to figure out who's what, and what's who. She doesn't look like she's about to stroke out or anything, but you can tell being relaxed/chilled, not gonna happen.

You do all have a good time. Some more than others, but and good time is had. You finally make it to the lounge, which we already discussed. You listen to a very attractive, very talented singer, but only for a short time. The three of you come in at the end of her set. After a short pause in the entertainment, about 15 minutes. At around midnight you see Tabitha walk towards the stage. She smiles at you all, and gives a little wave. The room is full and, well not quite erupts, but everyone is applauding. As soon as she turns toward the mic silence fills the room, and then it is filled the her voice. You can tell she isn't using her powers, but everyone is still enthralled. She sings mostly blues songs for her 30 minute set. Then she smiles as she makes her way over to your table. "Hey guys! How's everything going?"

Big smile and hug.

"HEY! You know you were awesome, right? Everything's crazy basically, I don't know what you've heard. It's been a rough couple of days. But we thought we'd come relax for the evening. We saved you for last.

How are YOU?"

You get a tight squeeze in return, of course, Yeah the big R keeps me updated, and I keep him updated. I'm glad you enjoyed, Tab motions toward the stage, it's still fun just letting it rip. I doing fine. I have less responsibility since Mason and the others are 'retired'. It gives me more time to just sing and enjoy being alive.

She pauses, So what's been so rough? She gives Anthony the eye and a naughty grin.

Blush, then the immediate try to hide it. "Shut up! You know, the usual." Lol, damn, wrong answer, that made the blush worse. "That's not what.. You could al..." Laughing at my own consternation.

"You know, maybe I should answer the question for real instead of trying to wiggle out of that. Shoulda let him answer it anyway, that's what I get... " I grin before moving onto the other topic.

"So if R keeps you updated, I doubt he told you this one because we just told him. I just came from my new piece of property in Metairie. Weird huh? But, I've hopefully got time to figure out what to do with that." Wide eyes, in the whole, 'can you believe it' kinda way, but then I switch gears again, "So, you perform every night? How's all this doing so far?"

I nod at the "that's weird" and watch her leave for her set. (Not to be boring, but) I'll sit and listen, and I'm not feeling particularly talky or active, so I'll just sit and listen and people watch and enjoy the company.

The three of you enjoy the next set, afterwards Tab invites you guys to her room for some dinner. The night is fairly quiet.

Lin and Vash, I mentioned earlier you guys head out for the airport in the morning. Is there a certain stop you want to make on the way, or is it straight to Mongolia?

Okay so Lin and Vash head for Mongolia. (Funny, that sounds like a Bongo movie.) You arrive at the airport early, and begin making your way through security. Vash arm sets off several alarms, and you are escorted to a waiting area. After several minutes, someone arrives, checks into Vash's passport, and clears him. You are then skirted around the rest of the security areas, and board the plane. You find your first class seats and wait for the plane to take off. As the stewardess' move through the area you can hear the general noise from the section behind you, and you get a couple a glances at the reinforced door to the cockpit area. Soon the flight takes off and you are on your way to Ulan Bator.

Ok im gonna have to locate Thomas, i want to speak to him about this responsibility of mine. I'm sure hes done the same with others or he has had something like this. Its like i have been thrown into a work place with no experience and my boss expects nothing less than perfection. I'm one "get stuffed punk" shy of killing these people. I know i might be going about this all wrong, but ill just have to make due.

(sorry i havent posted lately, my car exploded, my grandparents are down for vacation so im getting to know them for the first time in 14 years. Ill try to post when i get a chance.)

Lin and Vash make all their connections, and spend their spare time between flight meditating. After a couple days, and a not-so-safe feeling flight, your pilot announces you are about to 'make landing in airport'.

I'll go to Tab's room, eat dinner, fill her in on stuff, chat, and chill. I am not going to push Cassandra any direction, but when we're ready to wrap up, she's got an open invitation to Chez Giovanni. Everyone's still beat to hell mentally, even if not physically, so no need to push things. Then, whatever time, we head home and to bed.

Lin and Vash you exit the plane after it makes a nice landing after all. You retrieve your bags, if you have any, and make your way out of the airport. You pass through a relatively small security area, and make your way onto the airport road. Welcome to the district of Nalaikh. (Anyone speak Mongolian?)

Thomas finishes talking to to R fairly quickly, and returns. "Now what can I do for you Mr. Von?"

I speak Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, but I sure don't speak Mongolian. I'll look around for a shop owner who speaks Chinese, all the while keeping to myself with Vash.

Von, Thomas looks at you, You have been difficult at times. I'm sure Erin would agree. First of you're not supposed to get personnally involved unless it is absolutely necessary. I thought I told you that. In the case of the girl, you could have just hung out at the places she went, and kept an eye on her. Maybe used your abilities to keep certain guys away from her. Maybe figure out some challenges that would increase her self-respect, or awareness of her path. There are many things.

For the homeless man you could have started by working in a shelter he visited. Letting him see your face without confronting him. Then arranged a few 'goods' to fall off of a truck for him to find. Let him remember what it was like to have personal items. The desire to cherish something. Maybe cause someone from his old life to happen upon him. Bring back old memories. Remember that life could be a beautiful thing.

For the young man. I don't know. I'll let you figure it out, but since you've already introduced yourself into their lives you'll have to figure somethng out. To make sure there are no errors, come find me for a review before you send anyone back to the building blocks.

Vash, these guys gibber away in a language you have no chance of understanding. In fact you notice several people look in Lin's and your direction as they speak.

Blast... should have crash-coursed in Mongolian, but this was an impromptu trip. I'll make a note that Chinese nationals are too noticeable even here, in case I have to travel this way on the return trip.

I'll take his advice, and buy a... small something he was selling (hat, coat, something similar) for triple his asking price, for his time.

(It could be a combination of a Chinese national with what can be assumed an American national, or maybe you've got some snot hanging, or it could be that the flesh is hanging off of Vash's arm. Did I forget to mention that. :evil: )

A quick description so we are on the same page. The front of the airport terminal, where you are now at, has several store/shops in front of it, but you are a ways from the city itself. The airport is on the edge of the city. If you want to walk to the main entrance you can follow the road for about a mile and a half, rough estimate. The only other way to to the city is the taxi stand you passed walking down the shoppping strip.

On a general note, it's a clear late afternoon day. The sky is a pale blue with a few white roaming clouds high above. Oh, and I was kidding about Vash's arm. :fun:

Lin, and Vash walk the mile and a half to the main gate. You are passed occasionally by a taxi, and other civilian cars. There is only a few people who are walking and they keep to themselves. You can't imagine why people are avoiding you so? ;) Once at the main gate you see the city proper.

Erin, you are awakened the next afternoon by the phone ringing. You sit up cursing that last glass of wine from the night before. You mutter out a 'greeting', and hear Romeo respond on the other end. "Hey Erin, R needs you to do a little spy work for him. There's this Indian guy who is snooping around the site of the Sabbat/Camarilla meeting where the C-4 went off. R needs a report on him, and I'm already booked up, so you get the short straw." Romeo gives you a description, and an address, as well as tries to answers any questions you may have.

i nod my head and leave for bed. I KNOW i havent been to bed in a bit so im pooped.

Lin and Vash, After some hot food and getting the proper attire you start looking for the address. This town is huge, and very confusing. You eventually give in and hire a 'taxi'. The driver takes you through the city, only taking one or two extra turns that you can tell, and brings you to a fairly nice two story house. It is located in a neighborhood of houses, in varying states, surrounded by large apartment complexes. You pay the driver and turn towards the house. Everything seems quiet once he is gone.............

"Alright, I'll get right on it. Anything else I need to know? You need help after I check this guy out?"

Over breakfast, I'll tell Cassandra and Anthony what I'm up to, ask if they want to tag along. Then after the normal part of my day is over and dishes are cleared, I suppose I'm heading towards the address I was given before the site of the Big Bang Atamus Caused.

(About that -- am I right that it's in the French Quarter, not very far from the hotel, but not right on top of it?)

"You see this is why I don't talk to you unless I have to. If I knew what the 'glitch' was, I would have said what the 'glitch' was, but I don't know what the 'glitch' is, so I can't tell you what the 'glitch is."

The small older woman looks at you with a squint, then takes a small step out the door and looks up and down the street. She then cocks her head to the side as she steps back in, indicating for you to come in.

Cheerfully, "Yeah, yeah, very patronizing. You know I didn't ask 'what' the glitch was, I asked what you meant.

Hmmmm. It's really serious, huh? You sure are grumpy, anyway.

What I meant was, what is it you see that is indicating something is off? Since when have things been glitchy?" Getting more serious.

Erin, "Well the lack of activity in the penumbra for one. Look don't you have something to entertain you besides 20 questions with Stick. I'll let you know, when I know." Stick seems more short than normal.

Lin and Vash, you step into a nice house. It's not loaded up on stuff like an American house of similar size, but it appears quite comfortable. The Woman motins for you to follow her, as she heads down a hall. At the end of the hall is the kitchen. She opens a door, and motions for you to go in. She's speaking in Mongolian, but you know what she is saying. You see a set of stairs leading down...

Erin, Anthony has already left, so Cassandra answers, "No, not really. Although I haven't really been trying to find anything in particular."

Lin and Vash, you head down the stairs. It's fairly dark as you descend but you hear some movement, and whispering. As you reach the bottom you see there are more people down here. They are huddled in the corner.

"Sensei know where we are heading?"
I'm ready to spring into action.

"Okay... he was low on details. Said there was a lack of activity in the penumbra, and basically bit my head off. So it seemed important. Ready to go?"

I guess we head out. Towards the address Romeo gave us first.

Vash, Most of the people look to be frightened peasants. There are a few men who don't look frightened, or 'peasanty'. They are not moving toward you either. They simply continue to stand in their group and watch you and Lin.

Erin, Cassandra smiles, "Sure thing." and follows you out to the car. Once the two of you are in and movng she adds, "I'll see, what I can see while you drive." With that she places her hands on her knees and begins to meditate.

Vash, we are headed home, the long way. This is going to be tough.

I sit down next to the closest huddled figure, and gesture for Vash to do the same. Now is not the time to be noticeable.

I'll just head straight towards the address (where is it?) and don't plan on disturbing the meditations of either Stick or Cassandra then.

Lin and Vash, Somehow Lin you don't think Vash can be UNnoticeable. Some of the tension for the huddled seems to pass as you sit. (Next depends on Vash.)

Erin, you ride is quiet to an apartment building that is several blocks away from where the restaurant was blown up. Cassandra is peaceful enough, but does flinch in a painful looking manner several times. As you park the car down the block from the apartment building she opens her eyes. The nieghborhood seems calm enough.

"Home the long way. Hmm....geuss I always wanted to see the scenic route thru China."

Ill follow Sensei's gesture and sit next to him.

After both Lin and Vash sit the 'huddled' slowly relax and begin to talk among themselves. Some of them get up and walk around looking at the room in general. Occasionally, the two of you see someone looking at you, but they glance away as you look their way.

I'll just glance at her and wait for her to process whatever she saw. I'm in no real hurry, whenever she is ready, I am. Simply watching the street and the neighborhood for now.

I smirk at Cassandra. "Yeah, ok. So... You see anything worth talking about before we head on?"

Cassandra thinks for a second, "Well it's pretty calm right now. Other than that everything seems normal."

Well, ill get dressed and get some wake up food.

"Well, lets try to lead Stephen then. He seems to be the one i rubbed the wrong way anyhow. Lets help that poor man out."

I start headin over to the many homeless feeding joints to look for Mr. Wilk. Lets get him something.

"Ok. I'll just hope Stick's just sick of my company for the moment. Well, let's go check this dude out."

You know me, straight to knock on the front door unless something on the way attracts my attention.

Von you head back to the shelters spending the day passing out food, medicine, blankets and such. It actually causes you to have some good feelings, but you don't have any luck finding Stephen.

Erin you hop out the car and approach the apartment building. The front door is open and you continue on to the apartment Romeo said. You knock......

(and the GM waits to find out where Reese is. Don't make me play your guy. You won't like what happens.)

Well ill keep looking until like 8p.m. then go find Amanda at the bar i found her last. Lets keep an eye out for her.

(Well I was waiting to see if Lin had anything to say, but I guess he doesn't)

No one bothers you Lin and Vash. Mostly they speak in languages you can't understand, although Lin does hear some whispers in Chinese. It's fairly low, but you make out something about 'a guide', and 'today'.

Von you leave after the food shelters close, and head to the bar. You find Amanda after awhile doing what she normally does.

Ill just hang and keep an eye out for her. (my uncreative mind at play atm) any suspicious characters get near her and ill make it a night to remember for them.

"DAMN it would be easier if i knew the intentions of the suitors. I really wish people this pretty would put themselves at a higher standard and not let people use them this way."

I barely glance at my companion, muttering something in Chinese under my breath.

He’ll get us killed and not even mean it.

Erin you hear a bolt turn back and see the knob turning. The door cracks open and you see a young man peeking out with one eye. The door chain is on. "Yes??"

Lin and Vash, you wait for what seems like several hours, The the door openstairs opens and a couple older men come down the stairs. They stop at the bottom and look toward the group, who are of course nervous again. "Who goes to China?", they ask in Chinese. Several of the group raise their arms......

I glance at Vash, slowly raising my hand, very cautious at this point.

Looking at the chain on the door smiling. "Hi! I was dropping by to meet you. Is this a bad time?"

Lin and Vash, They look at the group and wave them over. They also wave the 2 of you over. Then extend their hands, palm up, without a word.

Erin the man looks you up and down, he appears to be native American from what you can see. Then replies, "Umm, yes, I'm busy. Go away woman." He looks as if he is about to shut the door.

I close the door and unlock the inside chain then open it again.

(You remember Erin, right? I'll re-describe her, since you're probably colored with Atamus' bad memories...:fun:

You see a beautiful woman with black hair that falls below her shoulders. She's got serious blue eyes. She's got that girl next door/tomboy look to her, in her worn blue jeans, tee shirt, and combat boots.)

I smile and step in the door. I look around at my surroundings, curious as to what kind of place this guy has and what he's got in his front room.

As I wait to see if Cassandra is coming too, I turn my attention to this guy, trying to size him up and get a good idea of what he looks like as well. I hold out my hand. "Erin Giovanni. It's good to meet you, Mr....?" I am a little more insistent with that 'Mister' this time.

Cassandra steps in behind you looking around as well, but remains quiet.

Lin basically the guy keeps his hand out until you have given him most of your money. He finally looks satisfied and nods to the other. Then in Chinese, Come on follow us. They head up the stairs, and out to the street...

The font room has tools and blueprints papers laying around. The small table that is being used to hold all the papers barely has any table space left infact things are piled on other things. the rest of the room is somewhat clean the room goes into a sitting area/den area with a few chairs and a couch.

Reese is a somewhat tall Indian man with long jet black hair that is somewhat dull (no shine improvement hair product here), his facal features are very pro-dominate his emerald green eyes look back over here and up to her face as she extends her hand.

"oh sorry I'm Reese", he takes her hand and shakes it firmly. He's wearing well loved blue jeans and a wife beater tank top. His hair is down to about his shoulders.
"Why do I have the pleasure of your visit today?"

Wow, he's being nice and open from the start. Even if this bites me, it's a welcome change.

"Well, like I said, Reese, I'm here to meet you. We have a common interest, possibly. You've been hanging out at the explosion site. You are... mechanically minded, huh?" I glance at the piles of tools and blueprints, then back to your face.

"Somewhat you could say I'm more of an engineer, and yes I know I'm an Indian and that makes me an 'Ingineer'; but really I specialize in demolition.That is why I was at the site just fulfilling my curiousity. I guess you could say." He looks around and back out the door then closes it locking back the door.
"but how do you know about my visit to the site? Would you like to sit down in the den we can continue this conversation if you would like since we are still standing the doorway after all."

I follow the man, making sure to keep both of the men in sight.

I look at him oddly at the "Ingineer" comment, but recover and smile. I follow his suggestion to go into the den.

"Well, I'm very interested in that explosion, and the causes behind it myself. For different reasons, I guess, but still a fresh perspective never hurts. What is your expert opinion of what happened, if you don't mind my asking?"

"I believe that it was C-4, but thats really my best guess for what I had just walking by with out any tools or anything. Though I also believe there were other explosive devices used too."

Reese sits down in an arm chair and begins to think. After a moment he speaks up,"What is your take on the situation? Would you like anything to drink?" Reese looks at Erin and her companion.

[LadyGlutter]

"Something to drink sounds nice, thanks.

My take is that I was there when a bunch of thugs attacked that building. It was chaos. They are destroying our city, and I'm surprised at their organization and resources. So anything I can find out is helpful."

Lin and Vash, The two men lead everyone to a van. It's going to be tight, but they start stuffing people in. They look around quite a bit, as everyone loads up. Once you squeeze in they shut the doors. You can't really tell what goes on outside, because of the noise of eveyone getting settled into the van. The van starts up though in less than a minute and begins moving. The back is sealed, so you are unable to see where you are going.....

Reese, The other girl also accepts the offer of a drink.

Von, No one out of the ordinary approaches the girl. Lots of guys hit on her, but most go away empty-handed. Well not quite empty handed, but you can certainly tell she's not going to do much past that.

I have nothing like that. I'll just have to deal with the situation as it arises. It's not my preference, but it's not like I haven't be reacting to the world around me, now is it?;)

"That is very interesting, but I still have one question...How did you know I was at that site?"
Reese returns with three drinks and sits back down waiting for an answer. One of his eyebrows is cocked as he waits. "how in the world could they have known? Either way this is giong to be interesting."

I pick up the drink in front of me and look at it for a moment (drink? come on, give me something here! ;)) and I smile.

"Oh, because a friend told me. I mean, clearly, we're in the process of working out the details about that explosion, and the site is definitely being surveilled. Anyway, I'm used to being watched, but maybe you're not. Hmmmm... are you new to town, Reese?"

Erin, The drink tells you, you are thirsty.

Reese, The other girl is also very beautiful. She has her long black hair pulled back into a braid. She is wearing jeans and a tight AC/DC concert shirt. You can see her muscular build, but she is fairly well endowed also. Her dark blue eyes wander from you to the apartment, back to you. They seem focused, then lost in some thought, then focused again. Her smile is pleasant, but you know she means business. She holds the drink in her hands, but does not sip it.

Vash, your danger sense has been in full threat mode for awhile, but you process through, your eyes scanning the area, rooftops, and people. There are hundreds of possibilities waiting to kill you at every turn, but you determine that it is mostly the situation that has you on edge, and not a real threat.

Lin, You go along for the ride. :cool:

Lin and Vash, You ride for some time. The van is hot and quickly smell of sweat and bodies. Some of your fellow passengers share their water with you. It's like drinking pure refreshment, although it fades pretty quickly. The ride is almost maddening. The heat. The smell. The bumps. The lack of reference to where you are, but after what most be hours the van stops. It seems like another hour passes before they open the back door. They motion to you and the others to get out. As you unload they point to an open door, "Everyone inside we are staying here for the night." You suddenly realize it is night. You had become so accustomed to the lack of light you didn't even notice. The air is cool and crisp. The stars shine down like a thousand beacons at a thousand ports. You are then carried along with the crowd into the small house.

Any details about the house? After half a day of riding around, I'd be looking for anything out of the ordinary.

The is apparently part of a small mountain village, as you do see more houses around you. They all are pretty much the same as this one. Little more than 4 walls and a roof. In fact there are some cracks where you came see thru the wall, and feel the wind. Really nothing fancy. Inside you all are instructed to find a spot on the floor, while the 2 guys retire to a room.

At the end of her night, ill "run" into her.

"Hello, enjoying your night?"

and yes i made my roll by 5 so im not TOTALLY grabbin her but.......yet.

She smiles at you, making your resistance even harder. ;)
"Hi. Yes I am. How are you doing tonight?"

Reese looks at both the girls again, then takes a sip of his drink. All three of them are Sprite nothing funny or anything the glasses are indeed all clean as can be. The den area of the apartment is immaculate compared with the so called work area. There are coasters for the drinks in the center of the table. The couches are both a fake leather material dark brown in color. There is a moderate sized television sitting on an entertainment enter and speakers around the room.

"Why yes I am new to town and no I'm not used to being watched...well stalked. Since you found out where I live I believe that would be the better term."

He Gulps down the last of his drink and gives a slight cringe as it burns the back of this throat. Giving one last swallow before speaking up again.

"Yes I am new to the town I did live on the reservation until I went to college and became a draftsman then into demolition. So what else do you want to know my two beautiful stalkers?"
His voice is some what sarcastic, but more on the sincere side for his last few sentences.

I shrug. "Well, I was chosing not to stalk you, Reese. Which is why I came up to your doorstep instead of shadowing you and watching what you're up to without your consent. Now you've got me curious though. What reservation? What tribe?" Big smile coming out full force now.

"My family is part of the Cherokee tribe we came from Madison county, if you really want to know, I stayed here while they continued out west. Its not really a big deal."

" OK this lady is somewhat weird wanting to know so much about me and stalking me... without actually stalking me."

Reese looks around the room once more then back at the two ladies. Wondering why Erin is grinning about him saying he's Indian.

"What is the real reason your here?" His voice is calm when he speaks a hint of curiosity can be heard. "And what do you want with me?" both questions came out very blunt, but not aggressive.

[LadyGlutter]

To the personal bit, I answer, "Oh, ok. You just kinda sounded proud of your heritage and all, so I was curious. I've never met anyone who lived on the reservation. If you don't want to talk about it, that's cool."

The rest of my speech is matter of fact, bluntness and openness matching Reese's.

"I told you the real reason I was here. Look, you ever had C-4 thrown at you? While it's not the worst thing that has happened to me this month...." my mouth kinda quirks into a half smile at that, "it wasn't very pleasant. Hopefully you can understand me wanting to find out everything possible. In my shoes, you'd want to know as much as possible to make sure it doesn't happen again, wouldn't you?
So, naturally, I wanted to find out what you were doing at the explosion site. Quite frankly, you hanging out at that spot might mean several things. So I'm following up on it."

I raise an eyebrow when she speaks of getting C-4 thrown at her.( I almost busted a gut reading that part)
"Really! you got C-4 thrown at you? How much? I can only image what that must have felt like."
Everything in my voice changes going from being blunt to completely flabergasted and amazed. Once I get ahold of myself again I look at Erin and her friend.
"What do you mean me hanging out at that site means several things explain?"
I sit up in the couch at look at Erin and company my eyes squinted in thought as I wait for her explaination.

It might mean you were in league with the attackers, or enemies of them. It might mean you were just curious."

I look at Erin intensely and take a deep breath thinking about what I am going to say before I say a anything else.

" If you think I was in league with the attacks you are insane. And yes curiosity did have a part."

I turn my head to the side alittle .

"What about you. Since you have such a curiosity with me, you must be on the enemies side of the attacks as you were the ones getting the C-4 thrown at you."
Doing a quick pause before my last sentence knowing that it might have more weight to it then I would like it too.
"So what... you came here to get me to join your side like recuriting for a super hero team or something."

I go all wide eyed on you. "You mean you have super powers?"

"If you count being able to set and disarm explosives and the ability to know the insides of buildings then yes. But if your talking comic book style then you mistaken."
I laugh alittle at myself think that yes what i said did come out abit different.

Reese notices the quiet dark haired girls gaze seems to fade in and out. You have seen this before, but only with the Shaman of your tribe, and only during certain ceremonies. Other than that she smiles pleasently at Reese when ever he glances her way.

I take note of her 'zone out' but keep it to myself for the most part.

Von, Well she smiles and says, "This isn't really the place to relax." She looks around, the smile taking on a wicked aspect, "We could go back to my place. I'm sure you'll relax there." Her eyes lit up at the prospect.

Vash and Lin, you finally start to get comfortable when you hear a noise outside. Suddenly someone is shaking the door, and you hear a young girls voice as she screams something you don't understand. The fear is universal though. Once the door doesn't budge she quickly runs to the next house, screaming again.

I give Reese a strange look. "Hey, you're the one who said it. If you're looking for a superhero team to join, you'll have to be specific in your qualifications. I thought you meant you had super powers." I say, dead seriously. My eyes sure are smiling though.

Then I get to his other questions. "Look, I don't know how much explosives they had. A lot. It happened kinda fast. And I don't think I was the target, but I could be wrong.

I don't quite get how you figure I'm on the side of the folks throwing the C-4. That doesn't make any sense to me, unless you're just digging at me because of my answers. Just to make it clear: I didn't accuse you of anything. I answered your question -- there are simply several possibilities of why you might be interested. You have to keep an open mind when you are investigating things. As soon as you close your mind to possibilities, you're gonna miss something important."

I look at Erin with a raised brow and a small smerk. As I continue to speak I lay back into the couch glance to her companion then back to Erin.

" And I didn't say you were the attacker, I said you were the enemy of the attackers. Thats why I asked if you were here to recruit me. Look I was just wanting to know about things that intrest me explosives are one of those things. I didn't mean to get you all flustered.
I have one more question, am I in any danger from looking at that site? I mean if you were able to watch me what about others?"

"I don't know if it would have changed anything. We know some freaky people." I smile, including Cassandra in that one.

"And yeah, of course you might be in danger from looking at it. But then again, you might be in danger from drinking Sprite from a stranger's hospitality. Sometimes you gotta just roll with it." I drink some of my drink. (If he only knew!)

"Is it ok if I call you if I have any more questions in my investigation? I'll give you my number, too."

Damn, outside of the house? Just what I need.

I stand, walk over to Vash, slipping him a piece of paper (noting where he ought to go, per our discussion GM), smile and say -

You stay put and protect these folks if they need it. I'll be right back.

Von, As I said you get a look that would fry a hole in a star. She then turns, "Good evening!", and heads towards one of the guys she was speaking with earlier.

Lin, you unbolt the door, and head out of the house. Several of the people inside yell something, and one woman lets out a little scream of her own.

You shut the door back and look to the right where you heard the girl run to. You see her 2 houses down. A very pretty young Mongolian girl, maybe 14 or so. Your senses feel the presence to the left of you. You turn to face the enemy, but see nothing. Suddenly your eyes catch the movement down low, coming out of the shadows. Rats!! And lots of them. Funny thing is you don't hear any noise, other than the scrapping of their small claws against the cold earth. The girl screams again, but no one lets her in, and the rats seem to pick up speed.

Vash, Lin shuts the door, and you are alone among strangers.

Erin, When you glance at Cassandra as you joke, you notice she is Umbra scanning. Suddenly Stick breaks in a little to loud, "I've got it!!! By all the Gods!! It's huge!!" You hear Cassandra reply, "What the hell is it?" Stick, "I don't know. That spirit helped me see it. Erin we've got to go, now." Without hesitation Stick acts and the room shifts. You are suddenly in the Penumbra with Cassandra, and the strange young man. "Oops."

Reese, you are sitting in your living room, and suddenly you feel as if the world moved. You are now standing in a grotto. It's full of trees, and wildlife, including several deer frolicking in a stream. A large buck stands beside Erin. Funny thing is, everything looks almost transparent, except the girls and you. Not knowing what to say immediately, you glance down at the item you feel in your hand. It is a bow. Somewhat shocked you look at yourself. You are now dressed in the clothing of one of your tribal hunters, and not the clothing of today's hunters. It is the clothing the elders have described in stories from hundreds of years ago. As your shock begins to fade, you now really notice Erin and Cassandra. Cassandra's skin seems to have lines across it, almost in the shape of scales, and is that WINGS on her back????

I give Erin my cell number, and I recieve hers.

I jump up looking around in awe and slight confusion.
"What's going on!"
I look at Erin's companion wide eyed then over to Erin not knowing what to expect.
" How in the hell did I get here...where am I?!"
I look back down at myself looking over my clothing and adornments.
"And why am I dress like I'm back in the tribe? I want an explination now."

I'll bark out a command, in Chinese, realizing she probably won't understand me, but I'm going to grab her then leap up to a second level - a balcony or something similar.

So, grab the girl, then a flying leap for the high jump.

Okay Lin, there are no balconies. Remember you are in a small mountain village. Everything is a one story hut like structure with thatch roofs. You could still do the jump, but you'll need a dex check as well to land on what you hope is a solid beam.

My hair is down to my waist in the back now in a tight braid. I'm wearing very bright shiny chainmail, a sword on my back (not quite as big as a claymore, but still larger than a regular longsword and large for my frame), and a searching look on my face. I glance at Reese, and frown. My hand goes to my hip, where Reese can see that I am gripping this gnarled Stick of wood (which I don't know what size he is right now, :roll: ) almost protectively.

"Oookay. Stick, care to fill me in? At least he looks like he might stand a chance, but this is a bit awkward."

"Reese. Do not panic, please. It will help a lot.

You're dressed like that because that's what you are. You're in spirit form, is the best quick explanation I have for you. You're in the spirit world. And it's dangerous here. You do know how to use that bow, right?"

I'm trying really hard to focus on using a calm, even tone for Reese's sake, but what the hell am I looking for?

"So this is what the tribes men ment about the spirit world...I would have never thought I would come here."
I look around once more before going back to Erin and the gnarled stick she is holding very tightly.
"ummm what is up with the stick? And yes I can use a bow, very well infact."

Erin and Reese, Cassandra looks around and smiles, "I see why he was attracted to this area. To bad it's dying." Her tone become more somber.

Erin, Stick breaks in, "Over there," suddenly your vision focuses in a direction and magnifies. You see a hugh ball a darkness, and it's traveling this way very fast.

Vash, You scan the note quickly, it seems to be directions. YOou tuck it into your pocket and prepare yourself. It's only a matter of seconds before you hear a scratching, clawing sound on the walls. One of the women scream for real this time, and the scratching gets louder.

Von you seem to be getting ignored.

Um, good, get ready then. And find somewhere safe to be. Fast. BUT DON'T ACT TIL YOU HEAR ME SAY SO.

Oh. Alright, that's a problem. Can the others see it?

Yeah, you know Reese the guy right there. Accompanied by all the smart assness it sounds like.

Um, Cassandra can, but it's like in the deep Umbra. Unless we fly out to it, it won't be here until tomorrow.

Oh. Hmmmm.... that's why everything has been so silent? Have things been running or what?

"What do you mean why I was attracted here?"
Being somewhat confused I don't really know where to go or what to do I kind of just stand there trying to wrap some logic around my siuation.
Looking to Erin with confusion.
"What do you mean find somewhere safe, whats going to happen?"

"I'm sorry, Reese, I misunderstood what was happening. You're probably ok for the moment, just hold tight. I've got to figure a couple of things out. Just keep alert, ok?"

Dangit, now I sound just like Stick did earlier.

"ummm...all right, so i'm in the spirit world interesting, and taking a wild guess this is my spirit form. And if that is true whats up with your friend? You look like you didn't change but she got wings."

I begin to walk around looking closer at my surroundings.

Reese Cassandra answers you, "What I meant was, the spirit world is known to have unconscious influence on the people of the material world. Therefore you probably chose to live in that particular building because of this scene. You probably felt quite at home the minute you walked in. Obviously it didn't make you pick that apartment, but it did feel comfortable. Your tribes connection with the earth, connected you to the beauty of this area of the Spirit world."

Erin, "I don't know. I just got here too, okay. .... Unless we go out to it, I'm not going to know much more. I can't even tell what it is really, so I have no idea what effects it has had, and there's nothing around that can really answer my questions."

[Outlawjc]

"ok so... I think I have a small grasp on it. But that still doesn't answer why you have wings, Erin has midevail armor and i'm dressed like my ancesters."

I continue to poke around the general area waiting on something to happen. As I have no Idea as to how I got to this place in the first...place.

Cassandra spreads her wings. They are about 10 feet across, white, and glitter with specks of gold. "When people cross into the Spirit world it reveals a part of their beliefs. You are a warrior/hunter of your tribe. It tells me you are fighting for something, but only you know what that is. As for me, it reveals part of my heritage as well, and part of who I belief I am. Care to take a shot at Erin's spirit personae?"

The scene is as I described earlier. The animals are not afraid of you, and will come up and sniff you. There are rabbits, squirrels, and deer. All are nearly transparent.

[LadyGlutter]

Well, I figured that I'd have to go up there, but I gotta figure out what to do about the newbie. I'd really like to just send him back, he'd be safer.

I keep watching the black thing, but am listening to the conversation.

I look over at Erin and put a hand on my chin.
"She looks like a knight of some sort from the crusades. From the movie Kingdom of Heaven maybe."
I turn back to Cassandra.
So you believe you have dragon in your ancestory?"

[LightBringer]

"Now you know a little something about Erin, you just have to figure it out, and baby, I do more than believe!" Cassandra smiles and the area seems to brighten.


Erin, Safer then what? All those unwitting people on the planet who have no idea. That makes them safe? You may as well give him the crash course. Looks like you're stuck with him.

[LadyGlutter]

You know, you're a peach. And predictable to boot. 'Oops!' my ass. Shall I introduce you to him, or you gonna be a pill that way too? Because I'd really LIKE to at least prepare him for what we're going towards.

I smile to Cassandra,
