So, anyone around here like Star Frontiers (TSR) or Traveller?
Would anyone play them?

Traveller: GURPS or D20? I have played the D20 version, and with a combination of a great cast and a paranoia-driven, highly intelegent, sado-masochistic GM, I had a hell of time. The other players still curse my munchkin-fu for finding AP ammo, and killing off many a NPC before the GM finally cracked down on me buying my favorite candy at every port we landed in.

Actually neither. I was thinking Classic Traveller.

I didn't like the random rolling for skill for traveller. Of the newer updates I think the GURPS version captures more of that hard SF feel.

Traveller's one of the few games one could die during character creation. Ive spent entire nights, rather than playing the game, seeing who could get through char gen the longest, and whoever had the fewest characters by the end won.

Most of the folks I know and have spoken with didn't care for GURPS Traveller beyond the artwork and some of the ships/background they did, they convert them to Classic or Megatraveller.
The rules have all been compiled and released on CD, so I might pick up the CT since that's the system I've played under and briefly a bit of T20.
I thought I'd see if anyone was game here to play, but its not looking like there is any interest, so I'll skip that idea.
