And here we are for what could be the final round! The only two remaining duelists are Casandrella and Darek.

It will be an interesting match. Casandrella is undefeated and she is the one who handed Darek his only defeat.

So the question is: can she do it again? Or is Darek going to disrupt her winning streak?

Archmage Odepheron has started the match and Casandrealla has cast her first spell from a scroll. Meanwhile Darek is making the most of himself. There is now six of him walking around.

Well both competitors have a slew of protective magics up and they are adding to them with their first spells. Casandrella has ensured that Darek won’t benfit from his disappearing trick with a see invisibility spell and Darek countered by casting a mirror image.

I suppose if she is going to see you she might was well see a lot of you.

Eager to be rid of her ellusive opponent the sorceress opens the match with a spat of force missiles. Choosing the targets for each randomly. The burst damage will destroy Darek's clones if he doesn't counter. She silently hopes her luck will hold out.

Casandrella casts Force Missiles, which triggers Darek’s readied action.
Darek attempts to counterspell with a Dispel Magic. Spellcraft check is automatic with a skill of 21 vs. DC 18. Dispel check 19+9=28 vs. DC 20, success. Spell is countered.

Casandrella was quickest with her spell but it failed to materialize.

Darek managed to get his dispel magic in the way of her force missiles.

A match can be decided in the first few seconds. We will see if that is the case here.

For the first time in the duel Casandrella is feeling the squeeze of tentacles and it can’t feel good.

Casandrella is trying to escape, but is not making much progress.

Round 5:
Darek casts Reciprocal Gyre on Casandrella. The six active spells on Casandrella equals 6d12 damage. Deals 41 damage.
Casandrella attempts a Will save for half. 10+6=16 vs. DC 22, fails. Fort save to avoid being dazed is irrelevant as Casandrella is unconscious.
Sister Bessin casts Reach Cure Minor Wounds to stabilize Casandrella.
Archmage Odepheron casts Greater Dispel Magic to dispel the tentacles. 11+15=26 vs. DC 20. Tentacles are dispelled.

Hang on Darek is not going to just let the tentacles do there work, he is casting something. Wow! Casandrella just exploded! She is down!

A reciprocal gyre! That is very well done. Turning her own defensive spells against her.

Whatever it was it was spectacular! Sister Bessin has tended to Casandrella and Archmage Odepheron has taken care of the tentacles. So just like that Darek has returned the favor to Casandrella and cost her a defeat.

Now he will have to do it again if he wants to be declared the champion.
