The demeanor of Malkanus is that of a dark night, forged from his upbringing and his dim view of the world about him. His green eyes have a certain quality to them that lend themselves to be viewed in a most curious way. He has been told they seem to be aglow with some internal drive of persistence or determination, while others see some deeper meaning, perhaps a weakness, in them. Either way, the cleric does not care much for the opinions of society, seeing his own opinions as the ones he should follow. Though he can be cold and standoffish, he won’t forgo the chance to gain an ally, as he is smart enough to know that in the end, everyone needs someone to guard their back.

The visage of Malkanus goes very nicely with his diplomatic style. He adorns himself in the colors of black and red, the two things that define him best. He wears a hat atop his head that is a work of art, or so he claims. The outside is crafted of black material, which is starkly contrasted with a crimson feather that is not too large, but still noticeable by anyone passing by. The underbelly of the hat, both the lower rim and inside the cap, is the same crimson that the feather claims. His finely crafted cloak is of the same make, the black material facing outward and the red cloth facing towards his gleaming armor. However, unlike his feather-adorned cap, inside the cloak there is a symbol of a gate with a full moon rising behind it, but few have ever noticed it because of its position. His boots and gloves are crafted in similar fashion, with the color scheme of red and black and the symbol of the gate and moon on the back of the gloves and boots. People have asked what it means, but they only receive a blank stare and a sigh that wishes so much for society to remember.
