Please be aware that there are many new features as of now.
At the same time, there should be many less bugs. Should you nonetheless be able to find an unwanted change in behaviour, please mention it to any of the admins, or preferable, in this thread.
Thank you!

Until further notification, forum requests should be posted in "Inquiries".
The automated request system will be updated as soon as possible.

Nifty. Only thing I've noticed so far (haven't poked around much yet, though) is that really big threads--like the longer OOC threads--the page links don't collapse, just expand ever to the right for 100-odd links. Doesn't seem to alter the actual posts, though, so not too big a deal I suppose.

I've noticed the same thing, and something else I think. It doesn't show anyone being online, ever, not even yourself. That's even if you don't have your profile set up to be invisible.

LynMars:
I'll look into it.
red_dr4g0n94:
I've noticed that myself as well, but actually only the home-page has this problem.
It's now on my to-fix-list :)

Firefox doesn't seem to interact very well with the text box post-upgrade. I noticed that pressing ENTER to start a new paragraph had no effect. When I used Internet Explorer instead I had no such trouble.
Edit: That said, I like all of the other new features that I've seen so far.

I've noticed the Firefox thing too, but as I prefer IE for any non-art site... well, it is not as much of a problem for me.
EDIT: I'm too lazy to check it again. I suggest treating it as an isolated, temporary and resolved issue.

Actually, I'm using Firefox now...
...and it seems to be working just fine. Must have been a bug on my end. Never mind, Danny!

Private Messaging:
1) It used to tell you if you had any new private messages from the homepage. I don't see it there anymore.
2) Is there any way to change the default when sending a PM to request a read receipt?

Anything homepage related is because it still uses 3.0.x based code; it'll get fixed along with the who's online issue.
What do you mean exactly regarding them PMs? I hardly use those myself you know...

You used to be able to see your PM status on the front page, it was over on the left

And when you send a PM, down at the bottom there is a little checkbox that says "Request a read receipt for this message". It used to be checked by default; now it is unchecked by default.

I having trouble with arrow brackets now. They don't appear at all any more, which is mighty inconvenient when your game relys heavily on them. Also, enter has no effect on paragraphs, and I'm using IE. Case in point, I had to edit this three times.
Damn, I was hoping I wouldn't have to relearn HTML...
Edit: Also, smilies don't work any more.

It's the WYSIWYG editor playing silly buggers and spitting out bits of HTML. Quick reply works fine although it isn't very useful for typing anything other than its namesake

I've mainly noticed this problem when using a non-Internet Explorer browser, and not every time. I don't know if that helps any.
Have you all ever considered the feasibility of a chat room feature? That could be a handy tool for conversations that DMs don't want cluttering up the OOC threads, or rules discussions that need quick resolutions...or any number of things, really. Just a thought.

We had a chatroom! I was the only one person who ever used it!

Well, I would be willing to try it. Is there anybody else interested?

Hey, this is either a new feature or I never noticed it before. Threads can be renamed.
Um, that's cool!
...yep.
Oh, and to reiterate - I am highly in favor of a chat room feature in a future edition of ORP.

I'm not experiencing any problems with brackets...
EDIT: Nope, neither in IE or in Mozilla. Try emptying your browser's cache files; it might be caused by outdated javascript files in your cache.
EDIT: Same goes for paragraphs btw, no trouble in either browser. Please see if you have the same problems on www.vbulletin.com in the test forum (you will have to register). If so, post in the bug tracker over there - because I myself cannot reproduce it.

Ok, page navigation now works like this:
At any time, the next as well as the previous page is directly accessible and also, relative to the current page (both forward and backward), in steps of 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and even 1000.

Yeah, it is the cache. Unfortunately, right now I can't do anything about it. Ah, well, I'll be back in business soon enough.

Yesterday when I edited my posts which contained , emoticons or paragraphs I was greeted by a page of broken html rather than my actual post. Seems to have mysteriously fixed itself today.

Yeah. All of my problems just disappeared without explanation not ten minutes ago. I went to make a post in one of the games, and everything... just worked normally.
Happy days, I guess. :smiling:

Same thing here. Didn't work so hot yesterday, now today everything seems to be working at %130.
Not that I'm complaining mind you. That would be rude.

Having trouble with the forum request. I click the forum request link and it brings me back to the home page.

Yeah, the automated forum creation has been disabled. You need to post a forum request in the Inquiries (http://www.online-roleplaying.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum.
