Gladiator Loser's Bracket Match 7

Well, once again, Doke Soloth has decided to exercise some tournament organizer muscle.

That's right. Now the Loser's Bracket participants at the Intermediate level are getting their first taste of the full arena. This should prove interesting.

Especially since we're starting with a rematch. Lily and Sareno have already faced each other, but it was in one of the smaller arena subsections. Now their dealing with the half the arena and have new obstacles to deal with.

And by luck of the draw, they've come up with three creatures on thier side of the arena: a Dire Lion and two Dire Boars. How will they handle this new twist?

Sareno tumbles about the arena grounds, finds an opening, and leaps to the top of a platform, executing the Four Winds Salute with his guisarme.


By most expediant route to leap atop N30 in a single move. Tumble rapidly (attempt to impress). Take 10 on a weapon drill to impress.

Dodge and Karmic Strike both in effect re-Lily.

'So that's how it is to be then? Unfortunate." Shaking his head, Sareno hops down off of his platform and takes a moment to focus, guarding himself a bit better.

Maybe, but Sareno's not going to just let her do that. He's jumped down behind the platforms and ducked just enough that Lily can't see him from where she is. She'll have to move around a bit if she wants to use another spell.

By the same token though, its even more imperative for Sareno to close. At least Lily can use her spells to attack Sareno from clear across the arena. When he's not hiding behind a wall that is.

Well, as impressive as Lily's dancing and Sareno's weapon play might be, are we ever going to see some actual action here?

"Might as well get this over with," Sareno says to himself. Darting around the corner, he picks up speed and leaps as high as he can manage, then tries to drop down once again to avoid being easily seen.

Double move to N22 -> I22, leaping to achieve maximum height on my way there. Attempt to either leap entirely up onto H22, or close enough short of it to catch and pull myself up to the space. Drop prone in H22, or crawl up into H22, whatever combination works.

What is Sareno thinking, steping in to where the Dire Boar can reach him? I mean sure, a free Dire Boar could prove dangerous to Lily, but these animals aren't really that discriminating. They go after what ever's closest.

"Sareno! Don't be a fool!" Lily calls out with genuine fear, "That beast will kill you! Call the match!" She sends two rays of fire searing into the side of the boar, trying to distract it. "Over here!" She calls to the boar as she dances away.

Cast Scorching Ray, both rays at the Dire Boar. Move to C29 using Perform: Dance to influence the crowd. Dodge opponent is now the Dire Boar.
