For those not familiar with 3EBB, I thought that I'd inagurate this forum with a brief post explaining what goes on here.
For several months now diffrent board members have been running Tournaments on the 3EBB which are open to all comers. Each tournament is slightly diffrent, but the basic premis is that you create a character to compete in the tournament and then, well, compete. The tournaments are sponsered by one member who acts as DM and final arbiter, rolling all dice and adjucating all actions, as well as establishing any additional rules that are necessary for the tournament to run smoothly.
Thus far two tournaments have been completed. Both were Conjurer's Chess Tournaments sponsored by Andorax. For those who don't know, Conjurer's Chess is a battle between summoners, the basics of which are outlined in Complete Warrior. I'm happy to report that I managed to win both of those tournaments.
The third, and current tournament, is a Gladiator Tournament sponsored by me. Thus far we are just beyond half-way through the tournament with 10 of the original 28 entries still battling it out for the title.
Current plans include a Mage Duel tournament sponsored by Darken, another Conjurer's Chess tournament sponsored by Andorax, and a second Gladiator Tournament sponsored by myself.
Tournaments are always run sequentially (i.e. there is only ever one tournament being run at any one time, and carry a daily posting obligation (at least on weekdays). If you're interested, sit back and enjoy the end of the Gladiator Tournament, and start planning your character for the next one.
