Level: New characters start at 1 level lower than the lowest actively played character, with a fourth level minimum.
Rulebooks in use: The 3.5 System Reference Document (SRD). This is basically the core rulebooks minus the flavor text (3.5 Player's Handbook, 3.5 Dungeon Masters Guide, 3.5 Psionics Handbook and 3.5 Monster Manual). That's it. No splat books, no third party supplements, no web site material. For ease of reference, you can use this (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/home.html) copy of the 3.5 SRD. It has all the rules we are using in one place.
Available Races: Human, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Half-elf, Half-orc, Halfling. No monstrous races, no templates, no sub-races.

Standard: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard
Psionic: Psion, Psychic Warrior, Soul Knife, and Wilder.
Prestige Classes:

Psionic/Magic transparency: Psionics are different than magic.
Abilities: 30 point buy, values as detailed below. On top of that, you get any additional ability points gained from level (ie. 4th, 8th, etc.).
Each ability starts with a score of 8. Racial modifiers are applied and then abilities are purchased. Characters can buy higher ability scores as follows:
