Two decades have passed since the date of my birth, and so many events have come to pass... and i've forgottem most of them already. However here are a few I do remember for better or worse; '91 Gulf War, 1996 Atlanta Olympics, '99-'00 Millenium Bug Scare, 2000 Sydney Olympics, '01 Terrorists Attacks, '04 Gulf War, 2004 Athen's Olympics.
Bellow I have posted some quotes I remember from my life time.

Quotes [I will also paraphrase]:
"And the Winner is.... Sydney [...where the hell is Sydney?]."
"...I did not lie, I simply fabricated the truth... [...Also can you please buy me a new dictionary.]"
"...remember these words for the rest of your lives... Pay Attention Richard! [...stupid kids always ruin my inspirational words.]"
"...suggesting that I lead the Australian people to Iraq under a lie is unto itself a lie Mr. Speaker! [Because unless they can prove that I didn't know the opposite of what I said I was just missinformed!]"
"He needs to *pay* for his crime. [Best pun ever.]"
"I will never, ever introduce a GST. [...untill you elect me.]"
"Our children deserve better edumication. [...Who writes my speach cards and why are all the words written using phonics]"
"This cave isn't natural, someone built it.. so it must lead somewhere. [Ironic that a super intelligent entity would point out the obvious]"
"You fatcats didn't finish your plankton! And now its mine! [Coolestest Simpson Quote I can remember]"

Your quotes suck, and your life events seem to centre around death and the sports you hate so much.

Damn it I can't even remember what happened at this Olympics. Now that you're almost dead why not give me money?

Berlin wall isn't important when you're 5.

Ah the Challenger explosion. I remember that one because the teachers really cracked down on NASA jokes. One in particular didn't like them at all since she was one of the alternates to go. If she heard you ask, "What does NASA stand for?" or "How many NASA astronauts can you fit in a VW bug?" She'd pull you aside and give you a month of detention. We're talking about 20 days in the hole as a kid.
There were more jokes, but I can't seem to recall them at the moment. I can see why they're disrespectful and tasteless, but it would be my guess that such jokes would have been said on the Tonight Show or other late night talk shows. I'll provide the answers to the jokes below...
If you didn't know the answers to those two very old jokes, they're:
NASA - Need Another Seven Astronauts
Twelve - Two in the front seat, three in the back and seven in the ashtray.

bah and ptcash
I didn't even notice this thread. Possible as I wasn't here
that isn't the point, the point is that I fear a trend of birthday related news emerging. Although I held off making my birthday "news", as I was busy, busy at the zoo. The zoo which lacked prairie dogs.
I'd wish you a happy birthday Cad,but that is like a friend stealing a cup of one of the John's coffee and then giving it to a pair of 14 year old girls who drink it and phone their friends to talk about it.

Yeah. That's true.
One of the important events that seems to have been missed out here is England's victory over Her Majestey's Penal Colony in the Rugby World Cup, by the way.

Damn man, I always thought that most of you were older than me. 21 is actually a respectable age here.
For future note: Don't worry about turning 21. Drinking isn't really all that great. You should be checking for 25, when the insurance rates drop.

Hands up everyone who lives in a nation where the drinking age is below 21

I'm fairly sure that car insurance plummets at 21 too
Everyone laugh at the backwards country!

It's all a scam. Like a mirage, that magical age where insurance rates drop is always a little further. At the moment, they are telling me when I'm 40 rates will go down dramatically.

No it's not. Eventually you will get so old that they will stop lieing to you, and blame your advancing age on the high cost of insurance.

I keep forgetting that other countries aren't run by aging right-wing white trash -- must be all the "patriotism" propaganda crap.

Nope. We're run by middle-aged right-wing white trash (or rubbish as we prefer to call it in England's green and pleasant lands).
Roll on the Lib' Dems' say I.
Not that we endorse politics in any form on this site, so let's change the topic of conversation back to alcohol. I got given free vodka today!

It seems that Gralhruk and I are, possibly, the oldest people regularly posting here. I have no idea of his age, but I'm on the latter end of 31. Can someone top that, or am I the resident Old Codger?

I seem to remember someone trying to tell me that he had thirty years Role-Playing experience some time ago. Now that either makes him around forty five, or a damn bull-shitter.

Twenty five is about the last good birthday, well everyday is good when you wake up and you're not listed in the obits. Twenty six sucks but damn I can drink like a champ.

Not that you are obviously talking about a certain individual :)
Bragging about how log you have RPed is quite tragic, the people who do it tend to be those who lack quality in their practice.
But yes, I think Gral is the resident old one
also : we should invent news more often rather than letting random birthdays loiter around forever

1968 was a very good year :).

Nah, not old. Just a few years away from pushing up the daisies... It's inevitable.
It's always nice to make people feel old by telling them they're in the last half of their life (which everyone is, from the moment they were born)...
