Some of you might have been fighting with actually getting rid of posts or threads after deleting them (a message would still appear stating that the respective post/thread was deleted).

Some of you may also have figured out that sending these kind of messages to the moderation queue would make them finally vanish.

Now let me stress, that that last step is NOT needed and even HIGHLY annoying to me. The post/thread-was-deleted message will ONLY show up to administrators (Cadogan, WhoNAN and me) and moderators of the respective forum. So none of your players will see it.

You may wonder why this works in this specific way; it keeps a copy of the message to keep people from going on a deletion rampage and wreck all threads they ever participated in by deleting all their posts.

In short: if I catch anyone still sending posts to the moderation queue, I will personally castrate you OR your partner :)

I take it that you largely aimed this at me :)

I'm happy now, I'll stop

I'm starting to get the feeling, that they will remain visible forever, unless I send them to the moderation queue.

Is this true? Because it's starting to annoy me.

I'll stop too. I didn't know that in my game that I'm the only one who can see the deleted thread. I guess this is another thing to add to the FAQ?

There's no need to find it annoying, everytime you send them to the moderation queue, I'll put them back. Live with it.

No, the fact that a deleted thread is sitting smack bang in the middle of the forum is a reason to find it annoying. Though I will take that as a no, and will proceed to get over it :)

I think I need to point out once again that the moderation queue is not a trash can...

If certain people do not refrain from using it as such, I will simply take away their moderation powers. You won't even be able to delete threads at all...
