I've posted this same inquiry on the 3EBB, but I also wanted to catch anyone here who doesn't already visit those hallowed halls.

Is there an interest in a PBP game of Mage, the Ascension?

Could I run the game here?

Thanks,

LeeCheSS said this is for any rpg

just go advertise in the recruitment forum
i know there are a couple of people who like the magic system and would have liked to play a game (just read the thread on other systems)

If someone can teach me how to play it, I'll be there with bells on (well, not literally... ahh you get the idea.....)

am interested in playing, but am not terribly interested in forking out the $65 (Aussie dollars) to get the book juuuust yet... :)

while i appreciate your enthusiasm, Kahluah, i'm not sure i could do enough justice to the game trying to describe it via email or posts. i kinda want to recruit folks who know the system, and have the materials already.

that being said, i strongly urge you to look into borrowing the book, if you can, just to look over the system and see if it's something you're interested in. i think it's the best of the WW games, and i think a PBP would be the perfect setting for running a campaign. the system itself is inherently geared towards rich details, and the way in which you describe your actions plays a part in how easily you accomplish those actions.

for some preliminary background info, read on...

the setting will be modern-day America

the characters will be young members of an established chantry, they will have been awakened for approximately one year from the start date of the game.

2nd edition setting, some elements from 3rd edition will be used, but the rules for using magic are, for the most part, a house-ruled blend from the two sources.

I wish I could express how often I've tried to get my f2f troup to try WW......A Mage game would just make my day. If you still have room.
