Anyone else who feels there is something that was NOT an improvement, share with me here in the hopes of it getting un-changed.

Turn Quick Reply back to its original form, and leave it separate from the "Reply" icon below each message.

I posted this in the other thread too.
Check some of the buttons, they're not all ORP ones. Also fix the quick reply so we don't actually need to click a "quick reply" button. Also change the colour of the quick reply box to better suit the rest of the website.
I have some issues with the "who's online" list on the main page also, at times the site can have up to 15 if not more people on it and thats going to do something mean to the layout (unless you've thought ahead).

Love the ability to tab out forums though, :)

Under search and quick links would there be a way to make the menu appear instanty after clicking the downward arrow, rather then that scrolling special effect? It plays games with my eyes.
Edit: For announcements, would it be possible to move the person who posted the announcement into its own box which is aligned with the rest of the forum Thread Starters?
Also change the edit and post reply menu's so the colour is more matching (same as Quick Reply).
Edit 2: I like the hover ability for threads, the one which gives you a preview of the first post.

Ok, removed the need to click on the quick reply buttons - and thus disabled threaded mode.

I agree, except for the tabbed, and i can ignore that.
Don't like the big fonts either.

Lots of other small little things that I would probobally get used to anyway, such as the automatically underlining of links is yellow.

Ewwy wasted space am I the only one who sees the little sqaure that has the icon and the basic user info, but its now the whole screen wide?

I don't like everyone's names and such being above the post, but if everyone else prefers it I can get used to it.

it would be nice to slip the Name/Avatar/Title.Location/Member No/etc back to the side
but it's not a huge deal (soi long as all the old info is re-included without making the wasted space any deeper)

I'll add an option to your user control panel so you can choose for the new postbit, or the legacy postbit.

I am with BRR its harder to read this way and takes up more space.

Ok, everyone who hates the new postbit style: Go to your user control panel - edit options. Then select "Vertical (Legacy)" from the dropdown-box in the "Thread Display Options" block.

It would be nice if I didn't have to hit the dropdown to mark a forum read. Speaking of which, marking a forum read seems to take you up a level instead of back to the forum you marked.
Also, in your user CP you don't see who from your buddy list is on-line anymore. I kind of liked the old way.

noticed something else...
user titles below 'Ghoul' level seem to be gone, now replaced by the not-so-chic 'Registered User' title. users with 0 posts, however, are still known as 'Unanimated Corpse'.
oh, and a question. would it be possible to allow DM's to post in their own "XXXXXX's Games" sub-forum? might be useful for announcements that affect more than one game, like a leave-of-absence, etc.

You'd think an announcement would work for that... :)

Ah LeeCHeSSS, you might want to take a look at this. I'm not sure if the fault is at my end, at yours, or somewhere in the middle.

Get a bigger screen resolution...
I'm still trying to find the fix for that :)

Actually with my new graphics card, and moniter, I might actually be able to use a higher resolution.
Not that I will, but it should be possible now.

More things I noticed that are probably intentional but cramp my style:
I can't subscribe to the polls or news forums anymore, forcing me to hit the portal if I want to see them.
When you send a private message, you get that annoying pop-up asking if you want to track it.
The "quick links" lists a whole bunch of links that are already on the screen or not that important. For example, "New Posts" and "User CP" are in the quick links but they are also sitting in the link bar. On the other hand, "Edit Signature" etc. can all be accessed from the User CP, meaning those things are only two clicks away at any given moment anyway. I'd much prefer to see the Forum index in the quick link section, with "Who's Online" closer to the top. Better yet, move "Faq" and "Calendar" from the link bar into Quick Links and move "Who's Online" and "Private Messages" to the link bar.

The little online/offline icons under the user info in the postbits are really similar. Is there anyway to make them more distinct from each other?
Just to be clear, these things:

Also, I'll second Cadogan's point about the buttons. The one I've noticed is the reply button under each post (http://www.online-roleplaying.com/forums/images/buttons/reply_small.gif).

The http://www.online-roleplaying.com/forums/images/buttons/reply_small.gif Button is actually the quote button.

Oh - One thing I'd dearly love changed is the shit emoticon. If you could please put a ":" in front of it's activation code, that'd be great, as it's distracting to see a pile of doggy poop in the middle of an IC post .... :P

Just disable Smilies in your IC threads, or for that particular post? shit

you can do that now?

You could always do the post thing, it seems the thread one isn't there. :\
