Ranging in size anywhere from 1 foot diameter to 4 feet in shell diameter, the Hydrotort is a salt-water dwelling turtle creature. It's skin is typically a shade of green-ish aqua, with it's hexagonal patterned shell being a lighter blue-ish shade.
Typically the creatures are quite slow and sluggish but the species has an interesting mehtod of propulsion which it can use should it require greater spped, it can project a stream of water from the rear shell gaps typically used for it's rear flippers
In the wild the creatures are usually friendly and playful, splashing about in the sea and squirting water jets into the air. It's uncommon to find a hydrotort in fresh-water or on land, but not impossible as the creatures are fully amhibious
