Some insist that the Doll is a species born of nightmares made manifest. Differences between members of the species are not difficult for a human to notice as they look very similar. A Doll is simply that, an animated Doll. What should be a inanimate child's plaything floats without effort through the air and of it's accord with it's own aims and thoughts
The Species have strong psychic powers, the more powerful quickly learn to create and weave powerful illusions. Some believe that all Dolls are sadistic and evil, but this is simply not true, it just happens the more out-going members of the species tend to be hostile and take great delight in harming others
Dolls lack any type of ecology, which makes some belive their origin to be a question of great interest. They do not eat (or at least no one has any conclusive proof that they extract anything from the environment) nor do they appear to breed (and yet the population does not seem to be waning)
