Kingscross is a quaint little town set in the Westlands. It's far enough removed from the front that the orcs cannot make much use of its crops, so the bulk that's taken goes to Baden's Bluff or Erenhead. The village's small size and remote location makes it inconvenient for Shadow forces to have a permanent garrison. Instead patrols come through at a semi-frequent pace, maintaining a presence of some sort.

A tributary of the Eren flows nearby, making the land more fertile than the typical stretch of the Westlands. The village hasn't suffered much of the same economic devastation that the other Westland hamlets have.

Notable Buildings and Places

The Mayor's Manse - Held by Lusk, the current Mayor, it's impressive if only by comparison to the other humble buildings in Kingscross.
Stephen's Home - a shop/home for the town's herbalist, it's filled with dried spices and herbs of all sorts.
Healer's Home - a quaint, three room house on the edge of town.
Old Ruins - likely a watch tower during the second or third age, all that remains is a broken wall and the occasional pile of worn stone. It is located on a hill north of Kingscross.
The Weary Wanderer - a large inn for a small town. The majority of its space remains unused.
Tallhart's Woods - a forest in only the technical sense of the term, this isolated stretch of woods is a rarity amidst the rolling plains of the westlands.
Bakery - much like Stephen's home, this place doubles as both house and shoppe. An influx of commonly shared goods allowed the baker to produce far more than she usually is able to.

NPCs met

Captain Stafford - self-proclaimed law enforcer in Kingscross with nothing else seen thus far to dispute him. He's a man with a seemingly dual nature, depending on who's viewed him. It would be reasonable to assume that if he's a Captain then there are other men under him that help keep the peace. Met by Heulwen, seen by Lyr, Feyd, Aleina, Dun.
Delryn the Tailor - has a good modicum of skill for a tailor in such a remote locale. Friendly in a business-like manner. Met by Feyd.
The Baker - name unknown. A plump woman who specializes in licorice and conjures images of the stereotypical motherly figure. Met by Lyr.
The Innkeeper, Leiden - runs The Weary Wanderer. Seems to be a jovial man. Met by Aleina, Dun, and Lyr.
Stephen the Herbalist - met by Aleina.
Lydia the farmer's daughter - a girl who snatched Dun off his feet for a dance, but was bashful once he began to show affection. Met by Dun.
Mayor Lusk - a man who seems to have held his position for some time. Seems willing to risk himself in order to keep his people happy. Met by Lyr, Aleina, and Dun.
The Healer - a very strange man indeed. He posesses incredible skill at healing, but is it supernatural, or merely the hands of a master at work? Was called "Lucien" by the Hound. Met by Aleina, Heulwen, Soradur, Rhotha'ah, Dun, Lyr, Aashya.
Feyd - a rough, woodsy type. He seems to have affection for Aleina and Heulwen. Met by Aleina, Heulwen, Rhotha'ah, Dun, Lyr, Aashya
Dwarf - an unconscious dwarf, was formly sick if the Healer is to be believed. Met by Aleina, Heulwen, Rhotha'ah, Dun, Lyr, Aashya
The Hound - a villain of sorts. Threatened to kill every man, woman, and child in Kingscross if the Healer, Lucien, was not turned over to him. Met by Aleina, Heulwen, Rhotha'ah, Dun, Lyr, Aashya
Edrick - A Houndsman. Has a pock marked face. Met by Aleina, Rhotha'ah, Dun, Lyr.
