Physical Description:
Robyn is a fairly well built young lady who is slightly more muscular than average due to her exercise in swimming every single day since she could float. Robyn’s skin is a light tan, it used to be darker before she moved to Southmead, as she would spend every day outside in the sun. Robyn has more of a “girl next door” prettiness to her, rather than overall cuteness, and she always seems to carry a smile on her face. Her attire consists of babydoll Ts and hip hugger jeans, and her shoulder-length hair done up into a ponytail she can just tuck into a swim cap. Robyn normally totes around her swim bag, although for social occasions she switches it for a tiny denim backpack.
Robyn's Device glove looks to be made of a black and blue colored neoprene cover, and has cut-off fingers.
Personality:
Robyn is a bright and energetic young teen that doesn’t mind breaking the status quo, but most certainly minds when someone does something to upset or hurt an animal. This doesn’t mean that Robyn is a vegan, she most certainly enjoys attending the fish fry on campus, she just doesn’t stand for cruelty to animals. When asked why, she normally responds that it’s kind of a “mutual empathy” that she feels towards them and doesn’t want to see them suffer.
At times, Robyn can be a little slow to realize problems, but when she does, she just bounds right back into the situation, determined to make it turn out as best she can. Robyn always looks on the bright side of life, and holds only the highest hopes for something.
Background:
Robyn was born to Margaret and Victor Mulcahy in the small fishing village of Athlone, in Novtopia, just a few dozen kilometers south of Novburg. Robyn was raised on the ocean, and loved to spend time helping her father and the other males of the community in catching fish, as well as assisting her mother with the animal hospital in the town. Robyn loved to be in the water, normally swimming along with the friendly water animals and fish in the area, and always trying to see how deep or how far she could swim before she got tired.
Robyn was even a strong competitor against the boys she grew up alongside. Robyn could normally out-distance and out-dive all that she came up against, except for many of the older residents, and was always willing to take on a challenge. It was through these competitions with the guys that she developed a bit more of a boyish attitude, spending a bit more time perfecting her dives than her hair.
However, Robyn always felt the best when she got to take care of the injured or needy animals at the hospital, spending time as often as she could, making sure they got the best care possible and that they were getting as much nutrition as they could. Robyn felt a special attachment to the animals, and didn’t like to see them to get hurt anymore than when they had come in.
Eventually, Robyn’s parents noticed her dedication towards the animal hospital, and suggested she try for a veterinary position. Robyn began looking for schools as she took care of the animals and kept swimming in the ocean.
Southmead Academy was one of the first to contact Robyn, mostly due to the Foundation looking for an increased presence in taking care of its monsters, and seeing Robyn and both her excellence in the field of care of the animals and her aptitude in the ocean, offered to provide Robyn a scholarship to Southmead on the condition that she participate in the school swim team.
Robyn and her parents were all to eager to agree, and in little more than a few weeks, Robyn was on her way to attend Southmead.
At arrival, Robyn found herself dormed with Larissa Avinger, another first timer at Southmead, due to lack of availability of space in prior students’ rooms. Robyn and Larissa began to hang around each other a lot, as they didn’t know much else or anyone at the school besides each other.
A strong friendship began to grow between the two, and Robyn started to feel a bit of a buzz in her tummy whenever she thought of Larissa, occasionally getting extremely nervous in front of someone she used to tell her biggest secrets. She thought she felt love, but wasn’t sure. Could a girl love another girl?
