An average-sized settlement of around one-hundred souls, Hatchet City gets by via scavenging. Sparky's Garage is a place where you can get pretty much whatever techno-voodoo you need, given enough time. Mother's Bar and Pleasure Palace is the beating heart of the City, despite what the current holder, Mister D, wants to think. Reckon you can read more about that paradise-on-earth in its own section. The rest of the settlement is generally built into the ruined foundations of former buildings, extended via scrap metal and wood. There is a semi-intact chunk of road about fifty yards long that goes through the center of the settlement, starting with Mother's Bar and Pleasure Palace and ending in Mister D's territory.
Mister D is a bastard of a man, all five-foot-nothin' of him. His two bodyguards, Splat and Wax, are never far from his side. He runs the show from the tallest building in Hatchet City -- the three-story remains of what appears to be a ruined office building. He has a 'staff' of about five people -- Balls, Chin, Fauna, Daff, and Look. They're mostly more hired muscle, but Daff has some creepy psychic mojo to him and Balls has a surprisingly good logistical mind.
Chin is... well, Chin got his jaw broke during a brawl and the resulting infection necessitated the removal of the whole damned thing. He wears a hockey mask that covers the entirety of his face.
Fauna is a doctor of sorts, and also runs the local clinic out of Mister D's headquarters. She's quiet and intense, mostly goes about her own business. She's proven to be a competent sawbows, though, and is in charge of medical issues.
Look was obviously hired for her tits. Or whatever deal she has going with Mister D -- she sticks to him like glue and does whatever she does. No one knows -- everyone is too busy lookin' at her to really see her.
Hatchet City does semi-regular business with the Junkyard. More specifically, the Junkyard has people doing their own scavenging, and they often step into Hatchet City to do some business before heading back up the Two-Twenty.
