I am going to try and get a modern day campaign running. Start date will be summer 2002, somewhere in the US. Charachters will be 4th level, start with some basic things and about 20 thousand US dollars. You will be assumed to have a complete high school education, a good number of free skill points to throw into knowledge, profession and craft skills, and some sort of university degree or something. this will be mainly roleplaying focused, as you cant really run a modern day combat game except by saying everyones in the army or whatever and are stationed in afganistan. the classes etc will not be as normal, especially when it comes to weapon proficiencies.

ive said that this is in our world, but that is not entirely true. there is magic, a good number of the psyshics are for real or socerrors, and there is a somewhat harry-potterish wizard alliance. they tend to stick away from combat spells, and there are lots of things that go on that normal people dont know about, but please dont ask about hogwarts or anything like that, becuase this is not harry potter. its just that any group of wizards opperating in the modern day would have to opperate a bit like the wizards in it.

Hmmm... sounds interesting... if we went to d20 Modern, I'd have to wait a while to be involved, but the idea of a homebrew could be just as nice.

Questions I have... what will be the classes available, will magic be involved, other races than human?
