Since gemstone golems are cool (and craft (gemcutting) becomes useless without anything to make), here's one I'm toying with. I placed it between the mithral and adamantine golems for stats, and sapphire spell components for it's abilities.
Sapphire Golem
Huge Construct
Hit Dice: 40d10 (244 hp)
Initiative: +1 (Dex)
Speed: 30ft. (can't run)
AC: 37 (-2 size, +1 Dex, +28 natural)
Attacks: 2 slams +44
Damage: Slam 5d10+16
Face/Reach: 10ft. by 10ft./10ft.
Special Attacks: Stoning rend
Special Qualities: Construct traits, magic immunity, DR 50/+6
Saves: Fort +14, Ref +15, Will +14
Abilities: Str 43, Dex 12, Con -, Int -, Wis 11, Cha 1
Climate/Terrain: Any land and underground
Organization: Solitary
Challenge Rating: 22
Alignment: Always Neutral
Advancement: 41-54 HD (Huge); 55-80 HD (Gargantuan)
Sapphire golems are 10-12 feet tall, and appear to be composed of large orbs of sapphire. If crafted in a different form, it's shape gradually (over years) rounds out until it appears as above. In combat, it slams with it's large round fists, but if it uses it's stoning rend ability, it will usually attack the next target (if any) whether the origional target saves or not. Unlike some other constructs, a sapphire golem can be commanded at any distance, though a crystal ball or other item or spell may be neccessary to communicate over great spaces.
Stoning Rend (Su): If a sapphire golem hits with both slam attacks, the gem-magic infused in it will act as the flesh to stone spell (DC 30)
Magic Immunity (Ex): Sapphire golems are immune to all spells, spell-like abilities, and supernatural effects, except as follows. A mending spell heals 2/level damage the golem has suffered. Sonic spells, sonic spell-like abilities, and sonic effects affect the golem normally.
Construct: Immune to mind-influencing effects, poison, disease, and similar effects. Not subject to critical hits, subdual damage, ability damage, energy drain, or death from massive damage.
Construction: The heart of a sapphire golem is a gaint sapphire worth at least 10,000 gp. The gelom costs and additional [pending] gp to create, which includes 2,000 gp for the semiprecious stoes that make up the body. Assembling the body requires a successful Craft (gemcutting) or Heal check (DC [pending]). The creator must be 27th level and able to cast arcane spells. Completing the ritual drains [pending] XP from the creator and requires arcane mark, Drawmij's instant summons, geas/quest, polymorph any object, and wish.
